Love visiting here! You must love old houses. The interiors are lovely. They also have fashion shows, teas, day of mourning celebrations, and plays at Christmas time.....much more. You can have a wedding there if you like. Lots to do there all year long. Check it out. Its a nice little day trip, spending a couple of hours there freeing you up to check out more areas of los Angeles.

This museum is a very small nonprofit, but they have an amazing volunteer staff to supplement the mission. Many dozens of people come together over the course of a year to support events such as Holiday Lamplight (the biggest draw of the year), as well as regular weekend tours. Always worth the visit.

I was impressed by the beauty of the original Victorian houses, as well as by all the details inside of them. You really see a piece of history here. Our guide Katherine was great. Very knowledgeable, entertaining and passionate about the living and culture of our ancestors. We spend 2,5h there and it totally exceeded our expectations. If you are curious about our past, don't hesitate to visit this place!

Great display of historic houses, but parking is a pain on weekends. Knowledgeable and friendly guides! Don't park in lot if possible.

In the middle of skyscrapers in the Los Angeles skyline and a modern neighborhood community lies this historic place of Victorian homes and lifestyle. It is a testament to the past, and a reminder of the simplicity of the 1800s and the many modern conveniences sometimes we take for granted. It is a also a history lesson and realization that at one time, metropolitan Los Angeles we experience now was the wild west. It is a must to experience. The staff is quite knowledgeable about the elements in the homes, and each one (except in the gift shop), is dressed in the fashion of the time. Travel back in time. An experience you won't forget.
