What’s not to like about this place? After 2 visits I have tried a variety of food items as well as cocktails and everything is amazing. The tacos are some of the best I’ve had on the island. Each one is unique in flavor. The cocktails are well crafted and strong. Service is also fantastic.
One of the most amazing places I’ve eaten at lately. Most outstanding experience in this place is it’s energy. Enthusiasm, attentive service and above all LOVE. It all flows down from the top. Met Christine one of the owners while sitting at the bar. Her bartending skills are top notch. And THEN the food arrived. Each dish an explosion of flavor with well balanced flavors and amazingly well prepared. In summary a must must visit. I would give it a six if that were an option.
I've been wanting to get over to Lindenhurst to check out this place for some time and finally got the opportunity. Well, I wish I had made the time much sooner. The great selection of beers and cocktails is nice, but the food and staff are what really stood out here. I came in and ate at the bar on a very busy day, but Sarah was working the bar and never missed a beat. It was awesome to watch her and her co-owners Lauren and Kristen along with server Jen work like a machine to keep the awesome food and drinks coming to happy patrons. I had the shrimp taco, pernil taco, and street corn. All were fantastic. I can't wait to go back.
Best Latin American food Ive had in a while! Everything was incredibly tasty, love the accessibility of the menu, the Pow Pow Pow bowls are a must try! Chicken taco was amazing, juicy, just right amount of heat, and beautiful pairing of toppings. The whole menu was very thoughtful. Portions decent. It is also beautiful inside with cute thoughtful touches in decor. I am not taking away a star for this because the food was so incredible, but I have to mention it as I could still have left with a better impression after they were definitely a bit chintzy with the drink service... As I bartender, I will claim to know what's what! I like to order a strawberry margarita when dining Latin style, and I order a nice silver tequila on the side served neat. This usually does it for me, esp since having a baby and stopping drinking for nine months, I can't put them back like I used to! However, the Marg was like candy, and my neat was less than 2 good full sips... Neat should about 2oz and there is an upcharge for ordering it this way, it should be about two shots, not the 1.5oz it was... Instead of complaining, I just ordered a second, figuring maybe it was a mistake/fluke. My next also came low, about 1.5oz, same price, no buy back. All in all my liquor cost was approx $40 on a $75 tab, which I don't necessarily mind paying, I know how expensive things are, but I also like to feel I'm getting my money's worth! If it weren't for this, I would have left this feeling place over the moon! I wish them luck, I heard they opened right before the pandemic, so kudos!
My fav spot now! I’m in love with this restaurant… EVERYTHING is perfect, food, drinks, service, server, decoration and details. I can’t wait to be back Dine in: Yes
Excellent food. Excellent drinks they have some bizarre concoctions they only serve there.. try them!. Place is a little small. I hope they do so well they can expand!
Hermanas Kitchen & Cocktails in Lindenhurst Hermanas has been on our radar for awhile, & we got to go for the first time this week! We chose to go during their happy hour, which was a great deal if you want to go for drinks. If you are a taco person, you need to give Hermanas a try. Make sure if you are going on a Friday or Saturday night, to make reservations!! Mojito Tried both the regular mojito as well as the strawberry mojito. The regular was preferred, but both were equally good. Very refreshing mint, & ended up being a lot stronger than expected. Overall, 3.5/5 Strawberry Margarita The strawberry margarita was delicious. It had that typical margarita zing The strawberry flavor came through nice & fresh, nothing artificial tasting about this drink. We also tried the spicy margarita, which tasted strongly like jalapeños, without being too spicy. Both drinks were strong, & refreshing. 3.5/5 Queso Frito Exceptional crunch with an immensely satisfying cheese stretch. These felt like adult mozzarella sticks... both are fried, breaded cheese, but these were much, MUCH better than the childhood favorite. They didn’t feel greasy or heavy & came paired with a spicy dipping sauce that we couldn’t get enough of. 4.5 Roasted Cauliflower Taco This cauliflower taco is served with a sunflower chipotle sauce and pineapple salsa that definitely leaves you wanting more. The cauliflower was fluffy with a slight crunch, a perfect base for this vegetarian taco. The tacos are light & rich at the same time, with layers of flavor created from the gentle spice of the chipotle sauce, & a sweet tang from the pineapple salsa. All of that, brought together in toasty warm tortilla, and topped with fresh squeezed lime juice? Yes please. 4.5 Burger No complaints here, but not necessarily anything special. A standard, good burger. Stuffed Peppers This was a decent portion or food. Labeled as a “large plate”, it certainly can feed more than one person, & ultimately, we ended up bringing some home. The peppers are made with poblano pepper, and stuffed with rice, tomato, cauliflower, black beans, onion, peppers, avocado crema, sunflower chipotle, cotija, & radish!! AMAZING. Not to mention absolutely beautiful as well. The flavors were those of a hearty, comfort food. Everything about them just felt comfy, you could just sink into them forever. Maybe that's the margarita talking... but seriously. Fresh, tasty, filling, cozy, while still feeling fancy and upscale! The aesthetic was a low-key vintage-glam. Decorated with long, gold mirrors & bold trim around the restaurant walls, the small restaurant is both cozy & high scale. They have created a very “instagramable” experience, even with beautiful, vintage looking quilted glasses, & pretty, gold utensils. Because of how small the restaurant is, it is recommended to make a reservation ahead of time. We didn’t , but luckily they were able to accommodate us at the time we went 4pm on a Saturday, HaPPy HoUR . The atmosphere was calm, but busy. With ILoveLucy playing on the TV behind the bar, & Dolly Parton playing overhead, we could’ve stayed for a longgg time. Hermanas might have been the cleanest place we have been to so far, even the bathroom was spotless & cute!!. They had plastic dividers up at the bar and tables spaced out for covid precautions, all of the staff wore their masks. Though the restaurant was small, there were only two staff members taking orders and making drinks when we first got there. Regardless, the service was fast and efficient. Drinks kept coming, food came relatively fast, and nice and hot Atmosphere/Aesthetic Konrad: 3.5 Kate: 4 Price Konrad: $$ Kate: $$ Service Konrad: 4 Kate: 4 Overall Konrad: 4 Kate: 4 ratings given out of 5, $ out of four
One of my favorite restaurants. Food is always amazing and the friendliest staff!! Their mussels are the best I've ever had. Highly recommend That Purple DrinkFood: 5/5
Food was amazing. Margs where great. Picture shows multicolored carrot taco, chicken taco, and ground beef.
I can't say enough good things about this place. I love the decor and size so cozy. Guacamole and chips...amazing, shrimp tacos...amazing, fried avacado tacos...yes please! AND the rice and beans were the best I ever had. Can't wait to go back!
