The food was excellent. But the customer service was horrible. I took Some friends visiting from Brasil. To this place to eat on a Saturday. The place was not busy. The service started out good. Then it went bad. The service kept trying to give us the bill before we finished our meal. And we explained that we were not finished with a meal. And the person that I believe was the manger was circling the table. Like a shark looking to take a meal. After I finished my drink. The mangers came back with the bill. And stood there until we paid. We did not like this. And felt unwelcome. I will never visit this place again. They need to really work on their customer service. In America People like to rest and talk a bit after a meal.
I LOVE the food here. It's a fusion of Japanese and Thai food. We ordered the aburi-shime saba, beef/bacon ninniku, and chili garlic pasta. I also ordered a cocktail, the manago colada. The saba, ninniku, and pasta were MUST tries. They all are so good. The garlic pasta was chewy like lo mein. It was salty with the bacon and garlic-k in the best way. It's was SO GOOD, almost addictive. The majority colada was so good, but it got me tipsy very quickly. I highly recommend checking it out. I'm excited to come back again to try other things on the menu!
10 out of 10 out of 10. Just look at the food. Immaculate. Thai/Japanese inspired menu. Food was so good and affordable. Worth a try. Service on par. So happy this exist in Astoria.Recommended dishesCrab Rangoon
We were looking for a good spot for dinner on Broadway. We decided to check out this Thai and Asian spot. I ordered the ramen that has the coconut milk base and let me tell you that this was out of this world!!! So much flavor, I've never had such a sweet and savory ramen before. I love this place!! The waiters were very nice and the spot looked quite nice inside. I would definitely come back here again!!
Japanese and Thai options. Food is good and light. I went for a quick lunch in a Friday afternoon and I had pan-fried octopus balls for appetizer very rich, grilled salmon with spice curry sauce and lychee sangria. Place is not crowded and staffs are friendly and quick to help.Dine in: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: Yes
Hero Thai has a trendy, relaxed Asian vibe to it. And it's conveniently one block away from the subway. Surprisingly, it's very rarely crowded. The staff is super friendly. They were patient enough to answer questions I had about their menu. I noticed that they recently changed up the menu and prices have gone up a bit. It's still mainly a mix of Thai and Japanese dishes. Yesterday we ordered food to go. We got the crispy pork belly basil, hero wings and samurai dumplings. The total came out to around $28. A little bit pricey but I guess that's Astoria for you. The pork belly had a nice kick but the meat was a bit overdone. The samurai dumplings were good but forgettable. The wings were my favorite. It came with a nice sweet and spicy dip. I need to come back and try more items from their new menu.
Pretty good. Wouldn't say this is my favorite thai restaurant in Astoria, but you can be guaranteed a quick yummy bite here. No frills and good portions for not to expensive a price. I had the chicken red Thai curry and my husband had basil fried rice. We shared the fried ice cream for dessert.
The food and service were both great. Loved the calamari and the duck rolls, and the khao soi ramen Thai curry with spicy coconut was especially delicious, not too spicy but good heat. Our waitress was great!Food: 5/5
So good!!! Thank you GrubHub for the free mush lunch today for under $3 for two. Me and the misses utilized todays free lunch promotion to try out this Queens Find. It was worth it in every way. the food was prepared perfectly and presented at the door when I arrived. The flavors are amazing here I can’t wait to come back and try more. Yes you read that correctly less then $3 #GrubhubFreeLunch
Great food, good scenery, and awesome service. The hot Thai tea is my girlfriend’s absolute favorite, a must try - she ordered 2 and then another one for take out... LOL. Everything was great!
