Wish I could give zero stars. Someone ran a red and hit my Ram truck as I was turning, and the front left was totally smashed in. It got sent off for repairs, and while I was at work, my wife went to pick up the replacement F-150. It was the basic model, and she went to pick up my daughter from school, and within three minutes into the drive, the truck started slowing down. My wife tried to accelerate, and the gas wouldn't work. The truck was going about 3 miles an hour, so my daughter put the flashers on and called Hertz. They didn't know what was going on, so when the lady that rented us the truck (Susan) picked up, and my daughter explained to her what was happening, Susan said she didn't know anything about the truck and told my daughter to call her manager (Matt). My daughter called Matt, who didn't pick up, and she left a voicemail while my wife tried to get the truck home. They managed to make it home, and then my wife called Susan again and demanded that they either fix the truck or take it back. They sent a tow truck, and then dropped off a Malibu. Would've been great, except for the fact that my wife repeatedly told Susan that we needed a truck because I'm in the construction business, and my six-foot-four self doesn't exactly fit into a small car. Despite telling them that we need a pickup or a SUV, they gave us a Malibu. My husband couldn't fit any work equipment into that car, so it sat in our driveway until the next day, when my wife dropped it off back at Hertz. She went there because Susan said that since Hertz couldn't get any trucks arranged, we'd be better off renting from someone else. My wife asked her TWICE if there was anything she needed to sign, and Susan said no, and she told us that we wouldn't be charged for anything because the F-150 barely went 10 or 15 miles before it got transmission issues (which the technician called and told us) and the Malibu was only driven the 10 miles to be returned. My wife said fine, and we proceeded to rent a pick up from Enterprise. We were a little annoyed that we wasted three or four days repeatedly calling Hertz to fix things, but whatever. THEN, our adjustor calls us and asks why Hertz is charging us for rentals. My wife was angry because Susan told her she wouldn't be charged, so she called Hertz and asked to speak with Susan, and surprise surprise, Susan doesn't work at Hertz anymore! What a coincidence! My wife explained the situation to them and what Susan had told her, and they blatantly ignored her and told her that she technically still rented the vehicles and that she would have to pay. She mentioned that the first vehicle didn't work and that the she was told that the replacement would be a truck and it wasn't, but they wouldn't listen. So now, we're being charged for mechanical issues and the wrong type of car that we haven't driven at all. The best part is the manager, Matt, never responded to the voicemail my daughter left when the truck stopped working in the middle of the road, nor did he bother to call back and understand the situation, let alone explain why we're being charged for two vehicles that either didn't work or weren't driven because they weren't what we asked for. Save your time, money, and patience, and go to Enterprise instead.

Multiple times they don't keep your car class rented. They have a small inventory with a lot of cars with higher mileage. The manager Matt is never around and doesn't get customer service.
