Great Customer service and they went out the way to get me the vehicle I needed!

One of the worst locations to rent a car. They charged me $9.99 per gallon when I returned the car for the difference in gas. When I called them back to discuss this, the staff was very rude and uncooperative to explain the overcharge.

I went in this morning to pick up a reservation I made a week prior, however I was unable to do so because I booked through hotwire using a debit card. Well when this was made apparent to the counter worker Prince, he immediately let me know and told me that I could book it with a credit card but the debit card would not work unless xyz. So with that being said he let me know I could call hotwire to initiate a claim for a refund. Well, up until then the service was excellent. However, when I started asking for his information such as a business card and name for the rep. I talked to at the kiosk he began to get noticeably flustered and nervous. I said verbatim "I just want to know this information in order to have my ducks in a row when I call hotwire, not to get you in trouble or anything" well that must have been the wrong thing to say because he retorted "Oh I wont get in trouble for stating Hertz policies." I let him know that was not what I had meant when I said "trouble". So afterwards I looked to my husband and said "oh man why would they let me reserve with a debit card, it didn't say on the website", to which Prince retorted "It was probably in fine print on the hotwire website, all hertz bookings are credit card only." Thanks Prince, I didn't need you to be more snarky and condescending! It in fact did not say anything about booking with a debit card on the website.

With that being said, Prince remained professional the entire time, except when he was very condescending and flippant for no reason. Especially at 9am, when I came in being very pleasant and patient the entire time. For him to be that edged with his words was uncalled for.

Hertz as a company in general is FANTASTIC best customer service via the phone as well as their insurance partner. I received amazing and fast help while obtaining my refund.

My flight arrived over an hour late after Hertz closing time. Mike at Hertz Patrick Henry Airport assured me that they stay until the last flight arrives and was. Once there, check out was quick and simple, the car located close to the terminal. The VW Jetta was nice and clean, and handled nicely in the rainy weather. 
The return was quick and easy as well as my flight was before opening hours and I arrived at 4am. Park the vehicle, and drop off form and keys in the box. 
Great experience!

Have a good way of making you feel even better the cars were clean and in good condition and the people behind the desk with a  smiling all was good there.
