Called here to let them know I was going to be 2.5hrs late dropping off the car after the tire bulged during the 14hr drive. (I was most likely given the car with the issue.) It took about 4 hours for the repair to be done in Des Moines. The lady here told me that I would be charged another day for being 2.5hrs late because of an issue with the tire. I would have probably died if I kept driving with the issue, she practically told me I shouldn’t have got it repaired if I didn’t want to be charged another day. The customer service at this location was horrendous. I called the location who gave me the car, explained the issue and they extended the time. I was able to drop off the car within the extended time. Don’t come here, drop off your car here & probably start using a different rental company. The people who work here have no sympathy and keep citing that “you signed a contract, you’ll be charged another day, I can’t extend the hours”

The African American lady here is very rude & very pushy about buying insurance. We told her numerous times that we didn’t need their insurance because ours covers the rental. She couldn’t seem to get that through her thick head.

Worst customer service. Do not rent here. The manager that was there was smug and wouldn’t have us rent because my husband’s entire name wasn’t on the credit card(aged from wallet.). I wasn’t going with so I couldn’t use my card.  We tried to find a solution and he wasnt helpful at all. We have had rented with them In The past and even then, we  thought how unhelpful and a jerk that man was. I also had some weird issues when confirming the rental online; our promo code discount mysteriously wasn’t on there even though I checked twice before picking up the car. Not happy And caused a big hiccup In my husband’s birthday trip plans. We went to enterprise because they had a last minute car rental for the same price. They are wonderful. Hertz is awful and I won’t be surprise if they go out of business.

The car was fine, but customer service is pretty bad. They are kind of pushy with their insurance and fuel options (insurance is overpriced and the fuel option is pretty much a scam). I tried getting help with cancelling the liability insurance during my rental, which of course "could not be done". If I have the option I won't use Hertz again, definitely not this location.

Rented many times at this location for business trips.  Always been taken care of and never had any issues. Customer service was always kind.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. My insurance company set up a rental for me and when we contacted them the next day they were rude and crass.  They wouldn't even look up the confirmation number I was given.  I hung up and went to Enterprise, who were amazing.  4 days later Hertz called me and wanted to know when I was coming in lol. Yeah never gonna happen. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.
