It's a good school and that had high standards. Here are some things I dislike 1-The kids should be given a interview. 2-A bell should go off when a kid is in danger. 3-There should be security guards. 4-We should be able to rate the teachers on who to fire and who to keep. Please consider my reports.

I'm from Brooklyn and I just moved to Orange a few months now .My kids love Heywood ave school .I love the music program that they offer at the school with, so budget cuts happening around the country in so many schools . I'm happy that this school has one and the teachers and staff members are amazing .

The school is okay, but there is barely any justice for the students. One time, a couple of the 7th graders had threw a ball at me and if it weren't for my friend, I would have been hit. I told the principal, vice principal, and guidance counselor and they did not get punished or anything. One of them yelled a curse at me and they didn't even get detention. Also, I recently was not there to re-take the spelling bee test. The first time, the teacher couldn't control the class and everyone was talking. I wanted to re-take it and because I was not there, they won't let me. I mean it is not my fault that I had an interview. Plus, the teachers can not control they're classes. Some of the students curse out the teachers, one of the students kicked another student in the private area today. And the 5th grade language arts teacher is one piece of work. She is a new teacher who just graduated and do you know what? All of the students FREAKING HATE HER!!!!! Also, one of the math teachers who's name I will not disclose and she gave me detention for wearing my FREAKING BACKPACK and I do not have an extra bag to carry my books in. And another thing, they need to have cameras inside of the classrooms with microphones. This is because many students say things to the teachers that if they said that in any other school, they would be expelled. Just today, one student cursed out a teacher while leaving his classroom. What I am saying is not meant to be offensive to the school, but I am just telling you so that you can make yourselves better for the benefit of your students and teachers. Please read this and consider my suggestions.
