We've done a lot of hibachi-style meals over the years and it's always fun. This place is no exception. The food, however, was just not quite as good as we'd hoped. It wasn't bad at all, but there just wasn't a lot of flavor. My wife got steak and scallops that were both cooked perfectly. I opted for the chicken and it was a little dry. The rice and veggies were kind of bland. We both enjoyed the sushi quite a lot. If we go back, it'll be for sushi or to try something off the menu.
The waitress was a bit pushy but nice enough otherwise. The chef was stunning, however, and put on a great show! The food was all absolutely perfect, and we were really happy with our experience! The steaks are very small, so be aware of that, but we had tons of food. Please, please treat yourself of you love apple pie and get those apple rolls! We spent a lot but the prices are great, we just ordered TONS. Drinks were a touch weak but really good I got Love Potion. Vegetarian options: There were a couple vegetarian options but I didn't look too much. Dietary restrictions: Several options for a few dietary restrictions. Kid-friendliness: The chef was interactive with the kids, and the place was pretty kid-friendly. I'd def take the kids. Wheelchair accessibility: Not super accessible.
Terrible service, got our food quickly asked for to go drinks as we always do and was told they didn't do it anymore yet people walked out with them while we were there. Then paid our bill and someone else asked if we wanted our change. Your not allowed to do that and two yes we want our 10.00 in change. Never even brought refills which is why we asked for to go drinks.
Invited 6 people to dinner. As a group we spent almost $300 including tips. All became ill including one that didn't make it out of restaurant having to go to restroom for 25 minutes. Overnight, all 6 had stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Called and spoke with a manager the next day. She stated she would speak with chefs and owners and stated we should get a refund or a free meal next visit and would get a call back. Waited 5 days with no response. Called again and left message for management. Received a voice-mail that evening. Manager Amy apologized for our "belly aches" and offered a $20 gift card or $10% on next visit. Stopped in next day and spoke with first manager. Seemed appalled by response from Amy. Have not heard back from anyone.
We had a really nice experience sitting in the main dining area. The service was excellent, the food fresh. I tried a couple of rolls made to order, my husband had the chicken and crab noodle hibachi dish. The signature sushi rolls are 6 pieces each. The hibachi dishes are large portions with soup and salad added in. You can substitute fried noodles for rice for a small fee. The green tea was fantastic - fresh brewed from loose leafs and served in a pot, rather than tea bags. Coming back!
Love the place, getting a little expensive but for a special dinner love itFood: 5/5
Went to my son’s birthday dinner tonight. Like we have for years. And they didn’t even act excited or sing to him like they have before. The cook and the waitress said “oh well happy birthday…” waitress barely came around.Food: 3/5
I absolutely love this establishment! Food is always amazing, and the chefs have a great sense of humor.Food: 5/5
Waitress was amazing. Food is turning my stomach at the moment. Got the hibachi steak ordered medium, chicken, and salmon combo. The steak was well done with a few burnt pieces, struggled to get a fork into the chicken, but the salmon was good. More onions than veggies, and was charged $2.95 extra for the noodles option that go with the combo. Fried rice or noodles it was also $12.95 for the wvu roll to only get 6 pieces, usually get the entire roll for that price at other hibachi steakhouses.
Overall some of the food is good and the service needs improvement. The fried noodles are not traditional hibachi noodles. They are like flat Ramen that is wavy and very soft like typical Ramen. They are in a sweet teriyaki sauce and have a $3 upcharge on top of your$25 meal. The filet mignon was mostly great but there was some gristle in 3 pieces. Fried rice was bland and prices are not up to date on the menu they hand to you in the restaurant. We would not come back. The ventilation system is not working as well as all the other hibachi restaurants I've been to. I felt like i was breathing in all these different fumes from our cook and other tables. Worst hibachi experience ever, both food and service. Menu prices are not up to date. We were charged $2.50 more than prices listed. We asked our server to fix our bill but she gave us a hard time about it blaming the owner and the computer . When I order from a menu with prices listed there is an agreement and that is the price I will pay. It was eventually fixed while my family waited in the car for me. The rice was bland not flavorful at all. Maybe we had a new cook because he didn't do any of the usual fun hibachi stunts. We should have sent the fried rice back since we didn't eat it so we wouldn't have to pay the $3 upcharge for steamed rice that wasn't fried right. We didn't eat it. There is a $3 upcharge for fried rice or noodles for all meals including children's meals although the menu says differently Came for Sunday lunch and we were never greeted but my advice would be to talk to the staff and specifically tell them that you want to be seated because a couple who came in after us went to find help and they were seated before us even though 4 employees looked at us and even the woman who would be our server walked past us to close the middle set of entrance doors but never greeted us. $1.75 for children's fried rice upcharge but our server argued that the correct price is $3 for children's fried rice upcharge, same for everybody she said after she gave us the bill but we insisted on the agreed price on the menu they handed us that we ordered and in the end they corrected it
