Hickory Trace Village is the place for me. The staff is so friendly and helpful for your needs. Keeping your apartment up to date for a cleaning and pest control. The maintenance that you receive is fast and gets the job done. The grounds are kept up with the cleaning and keeping the grass looking good. The neighborhood you will enjoy the people that lives around you.
Great place to live overall! Maintenance is always easy to contact and quick to fix any problem you have. The pools are both clean and well kept up with. And the neighborhood is generally a quiet place to live where mostly everyone keeps to themselves.
Such a beautiful and well maintained place. Everyone who works here is so kind and ready to help. The grounds are always kept clean and the neighborhood is quiet and safe.
We have lived here for a little over 3 years. Overall we really like it here. Marina and Courtney in the office have always been kind to us. Complaints are handled promptly and the maintenance personnel are kind and professional and come quickly. I would recommend living here.
Stayed here from 2020 to 2023. Maintenance was always done in a timely manner. They sprayed for bugs quarterly. When we moved out, they only took 100 out of the security deposit for some carpet damage that was honestly already there, but it just got worse by being regularly vacuumed. They could of charged us way more for the damage our cats did to the porch screens and door. I hired a cleaning service CJ Cleaning for a moving out/in cleaning. No gas grills are allowed, and they can be a bit weird what they allow on the screened porch. Decent enough place. Ultra low utilities. Never heard the next door neighbor but could always hear the people above us and that's counting 3 different tenants. Great location and never had issues with left packages being taken.
Been having some small issues. Actually 1 very minor and 1 that was a bit more. A couple of calls into office for the fixes. Being honest a lil aggravating to get to the fix. Yet gotta see from the bissiness side. If ya just did the major repair everytime from the start there would not be much room for profits. So keep in mind like a "home owner" sometimes ya gotta start with small things to save money. And yes everytime there has been an effort made to repair. Now we are fixed! Yay. This place is for the most part quiet and calm, it is an apartment so had a learning curve from living in country most of my life. They keep the grounds very well. They maintain the property effectively. Maintenance staff are friendly and very capable. Office has always been a joy to deal with. Even with the irritation of the repairs still been respectful and pleasant. So in short don't let some of these less than reviews throw ya off. Some people can not be pleased and/or are a major PAIN to deal with. This is a good place to call home. To my wonderful lady in front office I know I may have been a bit of a pain. And for that I apologize. I'm sure you understood my aggravation. As much as I was pushy I figured this would be a good way to show my thanks and apologize. Everything works great here now.
I have been at Hickory Trace Village for three years now and have loved it. I stayed here from my Senior year of college till now. The apartments are great for anyone living near downtown hickory, Lenoir-Rhyne University, or just needing to get on i40 in 5-7 minutes. I have personally had great neighbors, even one's with dogs. For the most part everything in the apartment has run smoothly and if not then maintenance comes. Maintenance has been phenomenal. If at first they don't succeed then they will absolutely try, try again to make us comfortable. The pools are super nice and only accessible to those at Hickory Trace. There's dog parks and pick up your poop stations, a playground, and tennis court. If I had one complaint, I wish the tennis court wasn't concrete and that the lights would be able to be manually turned on if someone wanted to play at night. I love that the apartments are updating new areas like our breeze ways and our front entrance greenery. No doubt I would recommend this apartment complex for any temporary or long term stay.
It's a decent place, but I wouldn't live here again. The walls are paper thin which means you can hear everything your neighbors do and many people have loud and obnoxious dogs. The apartment overall is very clean and nice carpet was replaced or deep cleaned before I moved in, but the complex could use some work I get that no one plays tennis anymore, but we could maybe fix that part of the neighborhood up?. Management is responsive for the most part and maintenance is always quick. Overall a decent place in a good location in Hickory, but I won't be signing another lease here.
The location is wonderful, however this is a great place to rent if you like living with huge water bug and jumping bugs, I often found myself chasing bugs on a regular basis, even after maintenance did pest control...my unit was like a cave and very subjective to mold. The first day I moved in my air conditioning unit was not working, I got that taken care of, however maintenance kind of rigged it together and there was a awful running water sound while running the air conditioning also leaving the dirty carpet damp. One day I was walking my 5lb yorkie leashed and was almost attacked by a neighbors big dog that was unleashed.do yourself a favor and choose other options, make hickory trace your last resort. high priced but nowhere near luxurious.
As far as the office and maintenance staff goes, this is the best place I've ever rented from. They're always prompt and really friendly. They've even helped me out when I've had trouble with my own appliances. In our particular 2br 2ba complex, the kitchen is the only thing that could use an update, and yes, the walls are thin - but after touring 6 or 7 complexes in this area, it was the BEST option by FAR. I've been here nearly 2 years now and I've never had a negative experience, I just had to learn what my limits are with noise I'm hard of hearing and want to respect my neighbors. This staff works hard to make sure all of your needs are met. The move-in process isn't too stressful, and if you renew your 12 month lease they will professionally clean your carpets. I've never seen a single pest. The pools and yard work are maintained almost TOO regularly, lol the landscapers are always doing amazing work. Pretty much everyone I've encountered here are responsible, quiet adults who pick up after their pets. The parking lot was repaved last year and its never too packed, and security patrols the area regularly. If there is any suspicious behavior in the area, you will immediately get an email. I really do love it here, I just wish the rent wasn't so high - but for the location, it makes sense. If you find a 2br 2ba apartment around here without carpet and an updated kitchen, you're looking at $1,500- $2,000 a month before utilities and pet fees.
