Story

Hidden Acres Family Campground is located on the Quinebaug River in Preston, CT. Within Hidden Acres you will find so much to do! Whether in our Craft Shop which features ceramics, with the activity staff, or just hanging out with your own family and friends the choices are limitless. In addition to the Quinebaug River, we have a swimming pool and small pond on site. Nearby attractions include Mystic Aquarium and Seaport, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casino, local wineries and ocean beaches just to name a few. We look forward to welcoming you to Hidden Acres Family Campground where we have been making memories since 1972.

I have been camping at Hidden Acres for the past 32 years and now both my daughter and son are camping with their family there. The campground is in excellent condition, very well maintained. The staff are very friendly. Great outdoor activities, bingo on Friday, craft shop is amazing and the dancing on Saturday tops off the end of the week.

Amazing place, great place for the family. Has a nice pool and playground, plenty of activities for the kids. We spent most of our time in the river. Has a nice kitchen that does breakfast, lunch and dinner most of the week at a very reasonable price. AND THE FOOD WAS GREAT even my picky kids loved it. It is perfectly located by the playground so parents can eat in peace while the little ones played in between bites. The whole staff is super nice, feels like we have known them for years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CAMPGROUND, my family will be back.

Making reservations for summer 2018 this month! Awesome campground all around with beautiful river sites and access right from our campsite! Can't come soon enough!

This campground is a bit off the beaten path but once you are there you appreciate it. Right off the river, friendly staff, lovely unique animals (for a campground), and clean. The only reason why I give it a 4 is because you have to pay to shower. Normally not something we see. Unfortunately there is no sign as to how much it cost or how long the money lasts either. We would stay here again and next time enjoy the river and amenities the campground has to offer (this time we were just passing through).
