Woww i was not expecting this fun on such a quiet neighborhood! The name is perfect, it is clearly “hidden” but amazing. It is a great karaoke with great people! i don’t even sing but it was such a good time and people invite you to sing! you can sing whatever people will support you. The bartender was also so nice, it looks he mixes as DJ as well! I felt so comfy on here!!
I came here with a group. Drinks were affordable and the bartenders were nice. As a bar, it's awesome. I just don't know if I'd personally come back for karaoke. Waiting for a song took a really long time. I never got to sing mine, I just left at some point. I get that it was a busy Saturday night; I know that played a factor. The crowd was amazing. Everyone was friendly and had good camaraderie with one another. It's a good time, watching and cheering for others as they sing.
This is my all time, top, most favorite karaoke bar in Chicago. I haven't been to one this good since I was in Japan! I came here for my brothers birthday, he told me he loved it here, and had previously, up until coming here, made fun of me and my friends for loving karaoke Now he loves karaoke and this is his favorite place to come in the city lol. And sing bahaha. This man pictured, Tim, is what converted my brother from being a karaoke hater into being a die hard karaoke-yer! So I owe him and this place a great debt of gratitude and can't throw enough money their way to support them and their amazing bar! The bartenders are also exceptional. And they will take care of you! Plus, plus, I have made so many lifelong friends here! 10/10 will keep coming back and dancing around They have an ATM there now!
Cash only place. If you are a regular here, you are sure to have a great time. They'll treat you like family. If you are new, it is an expectation to bribe the KJ to get in rotation. He's a tool and was super drunk/high. Draft beers were totally flat, so go for bottle if that matters to you. Also the bathroom was disgusting. The urinal was down - wrapped in a black trash bag, urine and water all over the floor throughout the bathroom, and for the 1 stall that didn't close- no TP just some wet paper towels next to the toilet in case you needed them. Exposed insulation on the bathroom ceiling and would not shock me if it was moldy. The sound system they have is decent and the bartenders were friendly.
The service is excellent. The drinks are always made well. There is karaoke so sometimes it's AWESOME and sometimes you want to put in Ear Plugs, lol. I haven't eaten there. They are open until 4am.Service: 5/5
The karaoke is great but the guy who runs it is terrible at getting new singers up. I would suggest putting new people sooner so they stay longer or learning a good order and not doubling up singers… this isn’t open mic. Bar staff is lovely though!
Got kicked out because the guy running karaoke was embarrassed his fourth?? song of the night stopped near the end of his song. Accused me of pausing his song on purpose because I tried to look at the extremely long list for karaoke he hid throughout the night set on top of the mixer you know the thing w knobs you have to turn to raise and lower volume levels. He then threatened to ban me for life if he went to the camera to check the footage. I gladly let him do that thinking he could clearly see that I glanced at a paper for a second and then walked back to my spot right behind him when the music went out. He then made a large spectacle about how wrong he was and doubled down and tried to snatch my drink out of my hand as the bouncer who agreed with me and knew I was correct the entire time snarled at him "LET HIM FINISH HIS DRINK" and the guy sheepishly agreed as he sauntered off into his karaoke kingdom. I'm sorry for looking at a piece of paper behind the bar but I was not going to pay the guy five dollars to jump the line. I will never come back, until that moment I could tolerate the piss soaked smelling atmosphere and the very nice bartenders. I hope the little karaoke man finds peace and wish him a very fruitful scam. I know some people need these things and I hope the next time he could use better judgement and not try to hide the list so that people could pay him to jump the line all night.
Wide variety of people in a cash only bar open till 5am on Saturday. The karaoke can be a little loud, so not a place to go if you’re looking to have hushed conversations. Song requests are written on a clipboard. Make sure you aren’t in the restroom when they call your name or someone else will steal your song :
