My good friend went hunting for pheasants in this East TX resort today. 1/2 day guided hunt about $500.00 - Not cheap and not bad: just the right price.
He reported he had a great time shooting pheasants with a guide provided by the resort. He shot 5 good size pheasants, tipped the guide and was ready to go home. 
When it was time to leave, the guide told him: "let me give you 5 cleaned pheasants, so you will not have to clean yours."
My friend agreed. The "cleaned pheasants" were 5 very small vacuum-packed frozen pheasant breasts. Backs, wings, giblets and legs were missing. 
This is bait and switch.
The hunt was fun, the bait and switch was slick,unprofessional. embarassing for my friend who came home with 5 frozen breasts, and annoying.
His wife had invited me, my wife and 1 other couple for a Sunday dinner to enjoy stuffed baked freshly-caught pheasants. We cancelled the dinner. We will go out to eat.
Frozen pheasant breasts: they could have purchased them online. No need to go hunting for these.
My friend was excited about the hunt, his wife was happy about the dinner, I was going to join him on the next hunt with 4 other corporate friends.
After this...... we will go somewhere else!

Thank you for a great experience at your lodge this weekend. I really enjoyed everything you have to offer from the walking hunt with your spectacular dogs to the five star lunch provided after and would love to come back with some more family and friends for another wonderful time.

I frequently go there for the pheasant hunting and Tower shoots.  This place is really top notch.  They pay great attention to safety.  Their birds are of very high quality. They go out of the way to make you feel welcome.  This is high quality resort.  Things are attended to in detail.  It is NOT some throw down in a field place.  We have a nice meal before the Tower shoots and it compares very well to other place that do these type of things.  They make it very easy to come back again and again and to recommend it to others. Was in area for a fishing tournament and it was recommended.  Very nice facility with some cool amenities.
