Be forewarned if you plan to make monthly donations. I have been giving automatic monthly donations for several years with my credit card. I recently increased the amount but they are. now charging me for the old amount and the new amount.I have tried calling and emailing over the past two months but have not gotten a response. I have now resorted to having my bank refuse any charges from them.
I walked from the vessel to the small section of the Queer Xi market. There is also some lovely installation art on the road.
I was excited to go to The High Line once they announced that we could reserve a time frame to go. 4 people per reservation. There is an elevator or stairs that get you up to the park. It was a very nice experience to walk on an old rail yard. There are still some rails present. The flowers and the greens are beautiful. The scenery of the city is awesome. Lots of good areas to take pictures. There is a nice place to sit towards the end of the exit. Sorta like orchestra seating. I wish we were able to walk further up the line but it cuts off by 23rd street then you figure out your way from there on the streets. One direction only. Some parts are narrower than others. Would like to have gone all the way up to the very end. They did not have any vendors on the line where you could buy drinks or food. Some random performers to entertain you was ok. Bathrooms are clean. Nice experience. Parking is hard to find near entrance but in the area its possible.
Scenery was nice overlooking the streets and seeing the older buildings that are newer now where the trains use to stop. Only issue is they should have places to eat sit down and drink all along the walkway.
I usually go once a year. It's actually much better with everyone going in the same direction. Doesn't feel as congested as before. Also was glad the stationed guards were there to enforce the rules.
Must see in the summer. Great views and interesting features along this park, including ground sprinklers and the suspended box that overviews one of the avenue streets.
Really fun and beautiful walk in NYC. Great views, nice little shops along the way, worth the visit.
Beautiful park with wonderful architecture surrounding it
Inspiring project. Traffic free.
Love the high line
