If you need a quiet place to spend some time, this is it. Stroll around and enjoy the lake views or there are numerous activities available for young and old. Fishing, boating, walking, a great playground for kids, miniature golf, carousel, kiddie train. Bring a picnic lunch. Across the street is the Mendenhall Homeplace where you can get a glimpse of what life was like for early settlers in the area. It's worth the visit.

Beautiful park! There's a huge playground for children, picnic shelters with grills, High Point Express train for children, putt putt, and several water activities on the lake. Great place for a relaxing picnic overlooking the lake!

I might change this review once Spring and Summer are in full swing, but the state of this park doesn't ever make me want to come back. There is a generally unpleasant smell that wafts through the air that smells like a cross between dead fish, low tide, and animal waste, possibly coming off the lake. The playground area for kids has a nice variety of activities for them to participate in, but many of the structures look as if they have never been inspection. Thick, filthy webs, mildew or a filthy film caking structures. This is by no means a review of the entire park, just a review of playground.

We love this park. The pool gets pretty crowded in summer but we like the boat rides, the train, the playgrounds and trails. Very nice place to visit with family.

I love this park which is clean and has plenty to for everyone in the family to do. The park should advertise their days and hours of operation for the water attractions such as paddle board and canoes. I tried calling to ask and did not get an answer so my son and I drove to the park only to be told the paddle boats are only available on weekends. The pools is a great place to spend the day. you can take outside food in, just arrive early for a place to set up your picnic area. They even have a gym with basketball goals.
