We came for dinner about 7 pm. They had a big party, but our wait was only a few minutes. Our waitress, Zee, was amazing! She was quick and even remembered to bring my son's chocolate milk with his meal. We ordered the Green Chili Chicken Philly, the Chicken Bacon Ranch and a Cheeseburger. All were delicious! Their fries are amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and come back. Kid-friendliness: This is a kid friendly atmosphere
Had a late lunch/early dinner. Plenty of seats available inside. We were seated promptly and food came out quickly. My wings were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I had a buffalo chicken salad which was well portioned and tasty. The ranch dressing is house made, but was very mild in flavor. Service was friendly.Food: 4/5
I have nothing but good things to say about this place. My wife saw some of the photos and thought it was just a greasy spoon. Knocked her socks off. We ate tacos and man, so good! I had the chicken and it came with chips and salsa. The salsa was so greasy tasting. It also came with some guacamole. We also had a side of chips and salsa. Everything was so good. And the staff is great. I do not drink but their list of beers and wine was impressive. We had lunch and it did not disappoint. Vegetarian options: There was a small selection but it looked real good.
Our first visit to High point grill and we'll definitely go back. The service was great. Good local draft beer selection and wine. Food was good with huge portions. Lots of cheese and sauces. Lights in part of the restaurant are very bright white LEDs so we sat at the bar with more dim soft colors.
Had a great lunch after doing the mesa hike at Petroglyph National Park. Our server, Lena, was friendly and attentive. The burgers were great and the Mac and cheese was homemade and creamy. Would definitely return when we come back to the area!Food: 5/5
Food was delicious, queso was really good but they are not kidding about the heat of the green chile, we had it on the side and it was perfect. Chicken sandwich was fantastic, very saucy and messy but worth it. Not the right choice if your'e trying to be dainty and or wearing a white shirt. My husband had the filet Cheesesteak, would definitely recommend! Service was great and it was cool and darker inside , my personal favorite ambiance for a restaurant .
Went to their Valentine's Day fine dining experience and was pleasantly surprised at how they pulled off a 4 course meal. The first course was a cold borscht, that hit with the flavors of amazing sweet beets. I would've preferred it warm, but it was wonderful cold. The bread was hard as a rock though. Was barely edible even dipping it in the yummy borscht. The second course was a flatbread covered in brie, arugula, an amazing balsamic reduction, and honey. I had real issues with this course. The Flatbread was hard and inedible around the edges. He could've done well with half the size and making it somewhat soft so the whole dish could be enjoyed. The flavors were spot on though. I especially loved the choice of brie and honey. Third course was perfectly cooked scallops and shrimp on a bed of insanely tasty romesco. The sauce was almost a show stealer. There was also mountain of yummy purple potatoe "puree" on the side, which was actually a mash with hefty chuncks in it. It was perfectly seasoned and I ate all of mine. My wife had to leave half on her plate. The final dish was an "Elvis mousse" which was a beautifully smooth peanut butter mousse served in a really cool chocolate cup. It had perfectly sized crushed toffee, giant over cooked pieces of baconthese were not good folks, and an sat-out-for-a-while banana sticking up from the dish. All in all, an amazing night my wife and I both enjoyed. Some nitpicking for the fine dining experience, more silverware than just a table knife, teaspoon, and a standard fork. Also, these really should be changed out every course rather than expecting the diner to wipe them down every time with the fast food style paper napkins. Lastly, try splitting up the tables. There was a whole bunch of people having to sit shoulder to should with other diners on a long bench. Seemed more a BBQ joint than fine dining. Just my worthless two cents lol. Thank you High Point for the wonderful evening and I hope you keep trying out fine dining. You guys really can do it well. Some more practice and you should see some awards in your future. Parking: Only a single handicap and it was a good distance from the location. I would suggest getting there early for your reservation, just to find parking. The lot is really small.
Food was very good the first time we visited. Sat at the bar and ordered a few burgers and had a few drinks, service was great. So today was my wife's birthday, we thought hey let's go back to High Point. First, Let me warn you if you are not skinny do not let them sit you in a booth. It was so uncomfortable and my wife and I couldn't move. The table nor booths are able to be moved to accommodate us. We sat there until we got our food, drank some soda, ate some chips n salsa, and watched my daughter draw some awesome anime characters on the butcher paper. Once my daughter finished her drawing we asked for to-go boxes and proceeded to leave. Staff didn't even seem to notice none of the food was eaten when we asked for 4 to-go boxes. Unfortunately we were really looking forward to trying the carmel apple cobbler cake with ice cream. We eyed it last time we visited but had no room for dessert. I guess there is always next. Lesson learned.
Lina was a great server, well educated and really servicial. We had a great time at the restaurant and she was sweet getting all photos we wanted. She offered samplesFood: 5/5
walking into the establishment, there was an unwelcoming odor. It reminded me of a dirty floor. The restaurant was a third full. It took about thirty minutes to get our appetizer chips and salsa and another fifteen minutes after that for the entree to arrive. The food was okay, not memorable, nor did it create a craving to want to come back. The Philly was dry. The tacos were okay. Going back to the comment above, as we waited for the appetizer, we watched two different parties walk in to the restaurant, sat down, and then abruptly left.
