Just went to my first appointment last week and I loved it. The nurses were so sweet and the ultrasound tech was amazing. The doctor was also great. Only 4 stars because it was just my first visit and sadly I know things can change. But so far I loved it.

I’m not sure why the poor ratings but everyone I have dealt with from my diabetic nutritionist to Dr. Fortner to US techs are amazing and very professional! HIROC deserves a 5 star rating!

I had a horrible experience throughout my entire first visit. The vitals nurse was very rude, and both the nurse (Jo) and the dietitian (Lorin) were unprofessional and patronizing. After only a minute of my questions regarding my situation, and only two minutes in the room, Jo stood up in the middle of a question and left the room, never came back. The dietician only quizzed me on 25 carbs + 25 carbs, showed me what a 1/2 cup looks like, and handed me a booklet. It was rushed and it felt like neither of them were aware of my scheduled appointment; I left with so many questions unanswered.
They didn't send my bill to either of my insurances that I provided them with (twice), plus they incorrectly billed me for labwork that wasn't done, so it took me almost two months going back and forth with their outsourced no-name medical billing company to get the bill to my insurance. They never did take off the lab work that wasn't done.
Unfortunately, when I followed up with my regular OB-GYN, she said I'm one of the many women that have had the same bad experience at UT High Risk. It was unprofessional and appalling. I certainly won't be returning, and I recommend asking for a referral elsewhere for high-risk prenatal care.
