Beautiful cemetery very well maintained! In a peaceful, quiet side of town. We have walked through many times to enjoy the peace and look at the names. Some stones are hundreds of years old, and there are many large impressive markers. The large building next door has the inscription: "Adair County Infirmary," but the infirmary appears to have been moved to a building at Truman State University. We inquired at the door and discovered it is now a private residence. It is still a beautiful, historic building but no longer associated with the cemetery.
