Hill Country BBQ Market is a good spot if you know what you're getting yourself into. The food is good, but the ordering process is a bit weird if you're not from the south I'm assuming. They carve the meat and wrap it in paper, then give you sides on the other side, then you go back to the table. The server is who takes your drink order and you pay after you finish eating. The server was nice, but the seating was not that comfortable. If you like bbq food, you'll like this place, but I think i'd prefer hill country chicken.

I am pretty picky when it comes to barbecue and this place definitely hit the spot! I ordered lean brisket and spare ribs, cooked just right with a great smoked taste! I am a sauce girl and they only had one option so at first I was a bit disappointed but the sauce had good flavor not too thick or watery - a good tasting sweet barbecue! Definitely not disappointed!

This place was a lot better when it opened but has gone downhill - they have cut their offerings like deviled eggs and pickles back. The service is slow, and one time we waited forever and finally walked out. The meats are good, and the margaritas. So if you're willing to put up with the other stuff it's an OK place.

I love BBQ and Hill Country brings it. Now it's market priced, meaning everything is sold by the pound. Wednesday's are $1 wing days and I'm a sucker for brunt ends. I love their beans, collards, and corn bread. The Mac n cheese needs another recipe its too watery and not enough sharpness. Service is wonderful.

We really enjoyed it. Atmosphere nice. Liked the music and decorations. We had the bbq chicken and salad. Was very good. Will definitely go back to try ribs or brisket and a couple of sides like Mac n cheese. We walked over the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan and just found it. Next time we can even take the train from Manhattan or even from Queens where will live.
