This is our fourth year here and we absolutely love the park and the people.. There are areas where there are lots of dogs ,but thankfully the rules here have always been that they have to be under forty pounds. At our Residence Association meeting this was also agreed with by the very great majority of people in our park . It is hard to please everyone in a park this size but our very competent manager Christy always seems to make things better here . Lots of entertainment ,Jams ,Bingo , Quilting , Cards and many more, too many to mention here. Just give Christy a call at the Hillcrest RV Resort. We are already filling up for next year, so do not wait too long if you want a spot .

I have been at this park for 11 yrs. We decided to buy a unit in April 2005. Hillcrest RV Resort was our choice after visiting at least 30-50 parks in the Tampa Bay - Zephyrhills area. We liked the spacious sites, wide streets, and mostly because of the activity being organized by an association of residents. This has been our Winter Haven since. During those 10 years, major improvements have been done such as new privacy fence and non slip flooring for the pool and improvements for both rec halls. There are a few suggestions I would like to make: A. The no rent policy is one of them. If one of us cannot come because of health issues it would be nice to rent and recover the annual rental fee. I cannot understand that policy. I've put in a lot of money to improve my unit, not only for comfort but to make the park look nice and attractive. I certainly would not rent to somebody I do not know. It would probably be a relative or friends. B. I've heard a lot of positive and negative comments from some residents about contacts with management personnel and how some facilities are maintained, like the pool. C. Security of the park should be improved. There have been lots of stolen articles, even the burning of two units last Summer. That does not help to attract people to the park. Gates and perimeter fence might help and give a sense of security. The residents are retired and some are advanced in age and a feeling of security helps make them at ease. My comments are not to point fingers at any individual, that is not my style. My comments reflect what I've felt being here for 11 Winters and represent some of the comments that I've heard. I'm not here to be critical, but to feel safe, surrounded by friends and lots of smiles, positive attitudes and have fun. After all this is how retirement should be. Plus, it's the home that I have chosen for my Winter residence and looking forward to spending quality time for a few more years to come....even at my age. My thanks to all the volunteers, association, and musicians that help to make my stay at Hillcrest RV Resort a very attractive, active and healthy community to live in... sending all my love,,,,hugs....

We first came to Hillcrest in 2010 for two months. We came here because we had good friends from home that recommended this park. Once we got here we found the park was very well kept with large sites, 50 Amp electrical service, telephone and internet available. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the activities. There is a Jam every Friday night, an ice cream social every Sunday night with entertainment, organized shuffle board Monday through Saturday mornings. They also have a heated pool and hot tub. There are two club houses with many activities such as line dancing, couples line dancing, dances, exercise classes, Movies, karaoke, pool, card games. We just love it here. It is our home away from home.
