Let's open up with a warning, medium spicy seems a pretty high level at this place. I loved almost everything I had here even though I suffered the whole time for the "medium" spiced biryani. Portions are generous so I took home and mixed it with my own rice to be able to eat it at a reasonably spiced level. My girlfriend who enjoys spicy food however, enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the naan but there were some form of curry stuffed in paratha we ordered which we wished it came in plain. Those are some issues that I felt were minor inconveniences but they cannot take down the 5 stars because the food is great. It's a spacious place with modern decor and pretty good Indian music. The location is pretty lively and you can walk around after your meal, arguably easy to get to if you live downtown. You should visit this place if you're craving South Asian food. You will not regret it.
Great service, very large portions. However the food lacked some of the spices and didn't have the authentic flavor. We got the tandoori chicken and fried chicken momo, which were both fine but not great.
We had a great dining experience. Fresh food, flavorful, good portion. Will definitely return with family and friends next time.
I am so glad I found this place. Very relaxing atmosphere and really yummy food! My new favorite lunch spot after our company relocated to this neighborhood!Recommended dishesParatha and Garlic Naan
We got here to have momos but they were quite average for the price. We even ordered Mango kulfi and was quite disappointed with it. I have had better kulfi in Denver. The ambience is nice.
This is a very good restaurant with friendly, dedicated staff. In fact, it might be the most authentic Indian cuisine establishment I have encountered in this country US. Bear in mind I grew up in the UK where great Indian food was a staple in the community! There are a number of different spice level options to choose from which is fabulous. Additionally, they have gluten free and vegan options, and are very reasonably priced. I strongly recommend for anyone.
I ordered the chicken masala medium heat and a plain naan through DoorDash. It traveled well and the portions were generous. Kicked the curry craving that has been festering for a few weeks. Would recommend and would order again!
This place is PERFECT for lunch! The portion sizes are ideal for one hungry person or two kinda hungry people. You can choose your spice level and the garlic naan is fantastic. With the lunch combination, select veggie or chicken. Their staff is wonderful & not intrusive. 10/10! Perfect lunch spot in RiNo.
Definitely recommend checking this place out! The dishes I had were so full of flavor and the portions were perfect. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Only went with level two on the spice and will probably kick that up a notch next time. Had the Samosa Chat to start and then the Lamb Masala with a side of cheese naan. Proximity to Mission Ballroom is great as well for a pre-show meal. Will absolutely be back!
Having frequently traveled to Japan, their Indian restaurants have been my gold standard for Indian food. In all my years of travel to Japan no other Indian restaurant has ever come close to that standard. Himchuli RINO exceeded it! The food was absolutely phenomenal and can't recommend this place more highly--we will be coming back along with my co-workers who also are Indian food connoisseurs!!
