Beautiful nature Half the reserved park/forest was closed. But we got to still experience the beauty of the trees and fresh air. Very pet friendly. Enough parking. We was able to walk one trail. Wish I could of seen the whole area,Don't know when it will reopen the other half. There are swaps I notice and rent boats to ride around. Will revisit in the future. Really enjoyed today Dog-friendliness: We took our dogs and it was very pet friendly
We rented a kayak $40 and it was really easy to do, and the guy was really nice and helpful! And we brought our own for the other half of the group. The launch is right by the parking, there's a public restroom and picnic tables right there too. We went down the north path and it was easy to navigate and great area for beginners like me, but still fun for more experienced 'yakkers' like my BIL. Lots of fun over all!!
Very beautiful place. Walked around the paths. They are very well kept. Went kayaking down the river and it was a great experience well worth it! I would highly recommend spending some time here if you like the outdoors and want to see some FL habitat.
I come here a lot. It's a great place to get out and paddle. I usually go during the weekdays where it's not busy at all. The guys at the paddling center are very helpful if you need a rental or if you want to go on a tour. If you bring your own vessel and want to go on your own, the launch is free. The parking lot is small but if you have a truck and trailer or if you just need to find extra space you can go across 192 and park there
Highly recommend, gators, gars, and turtles! Beautiful cites and plenty of space for exploring. Bring your own kayak or rent one from them. Also ran into a tour guide while out on the water, told me to keep going a little further it gets even better, he was not lying. Definitely worth finishing the paddling trail.
Beautiful, clean, tranquil. Feels like a secret getaway after the chaos of the theme parks. Spot lots of wildlife and maybe enjoy a spot of canoeing at The Paddling Centre Remember your bug spray thought is mosquitos like you
I've just begun exploring here. Some areas a extremely peaceful. The only reason for a lower star rating is its not kept up in a super clean way. Things have overgrown at the main homestead, plus saw gar;ge that could be cleaned up. Again, not horrible, just little things could be down to improve it greatly.
Pleasant afternoon stroll. We came to paddle board but missed the cut off time. We barely saw half the park. Sound of traffic noise. Porta potty was clean smelly! Saw albino squirrel and heron. Give yourselves at least 1.5 hrs to enjoy the park.
Great board walk and an nice place to get out of the Orlando themed park and shopping mall activities. Certainly recommend a walk through this park. The walk in the woods is easy pretty flat. For sure a place to visit!
Has become my go to spot for paddle boarding. Parking is limited at the landing, but a short walk to the water. The creek isn't running terribly fast and you can get 5 miles plus of paddling from end to end.
