Awesome school delivering a first rate education that equips students to accomplish just about anything they desire. Hobart William Smith students can hold their own against and often are better thinkers than many of the brand name "got to get in" colleges. The school offers Intimate classes with real professors focused on teaching. Very safe and welcoming environment. Not a fan of the Greek system, but it is not a dominant presence. I would send my child there in a New York second.

Like any school, one has the chance to capitalize on possible opportunities. HWS has MANY opportunities to better your personal self, athletics, education, and future. This place is my home, and will still be my home after I leave.

One of the many great things about Hobart is its laser beam focus on teaching critical thinking; something none of the reviewers giving one star seem to have in any abundance. I went to Hobart in the 80s and I can attest that this is a very tight nit school where people care deeply about everyone's well being. The whole purpose behind having a coordinate college system with separate woman and men's colleges is to ensure a separate strong voice for woman's issues and concerns. There are numerous organizations that provide resources to woman if something as tragic as this occurs. But read the article again folks. What the State's Attorney said is that there is nothing to prosecute, meaning that, in his expert opinion with all the facts you don't have, there was no crime. A horrible embarrassing tragedy, yes. Poorly handled from a public relations perspective, yes. But please think for a moment. That bit about a winning football program blinding the administration to justice? Really? I know you've never seen Hobart on TV, because there is no TV contract. The stadium is smaller than many high school stadiums. Hobart is a very small division three school - so, no big money and no profit motive. I have two daughters and I hope they will get into the William Smith classes of '25 and '26 because I know what a great education it provides and what a caring place it is.
