I have to start off by saying that I love the NPS, their work is amazing and truly invaluable. But if I would have known before, backpacking would have been a far better choice than staying here. It feels like they have forgotten about actual campers and instead are giving more attention to Trailers/RVs. Tilted ground. We stayed in site 16 and it was a sloped hill, along the entire campground you can see how tents are setup crooked and not because of lazy or unaware campers. The area designated for our tent was at the bottom of this slope as well as the two sites on each side. We had a night of mild but steady rain and you can only imagine how the water ran down the hill straight to the tents. I can't possibly imagine who was in charge of the design and layout of this area and even approved !?!? How can you go and hike a full day or even tour around and go back to your crooked home...having a proper sleep is a basic necessity when out camping and you can only achieve that with a firm-flat ground. We had planned to do a full day hike the next day but we ended up leaving mid day with only a few hours of sleep. Oh and there's no showers. And no hot water. And no designated place to wash dishes.

Incredibly disgusting bathroom! It made me sick to go there and wash my face it that algae growing sink. There is no electricity, no hot water, no sink for dishes and no shower. This campground is really remote. You need to drive for almost 1 hour to get to the nearest shop that is also really expensive. Bta, the camping owner said the bathroom is Being cleaner Everyday. WHAT A LIAR. After we complaint about this, the whole week he kept on nip picking on us: that we made too many noise, drove too hard, left garbage. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. This place should be closed. This, Never again.

Stayed here for 4 nights end of May in site #1. This is a great site off the road and away from the rest of the camp, site #2 the same. The mosquitoes are terrible, they laughed at the natural spray!! There's no running water except at the bathroom for washing dishes, which you have to take the water back to your campsite do the dishes and take the water back to dump it... The only place to get a shower was at Housekeeping or Half Dome Village, and you can only get there by bus because of traffic congestion and parking issues. It took us 3 1/2 hours for a shower. Was a nice site, but water is needed.

Me and my girl spent labor day weekend at this campground, it is located just right inside the entrance of the park. This campground is about 40 minutes drive to Yosemite valley and 45 minutes to Toulume meadows. It is located at about 5000ft so it was hot during the day (85) but at night we had a nice temperature on the 60s. There is flushable toilets and sink with a mirror which is a plus if camping with your girlfriend, a lot of reviews complaint about the condition of the bathrooms, I will say you are camping in the forest this is as good as it gets. Most campsites are slanted,some more and some less, We stays at campsite 57 which was very close to the bathrooms(my girl was happy)be aware that other campers will walk through your campsite to reach the facilities. Campsites are very close to each other so it is kinda challenging falling asleep especcially because there is a lot of campers that didn't respect quiet hours, bring some earplugs and you will be fine. Overall it was a great experience, the campground has beautiful tall trees and even some young Sequioa tree. Only one more thing, when you go camping just be respectful of others and of nature. Enjoy.
