Googled restaurants in Norton when my son had a bowling match there. Hodge's Cafe was listed and I love small ,off the beaten path,non-chain restaurants. Most reviews praised so  we gave it a go. If this place were closer to my home it would be my favorite neighborhood bar/eatery. Warm staff,clean,regular patrons enjoying a flick on the bar tvs,fast acknowledgement by the bartender/server. She treated us like we had known her forever,joked with my shy teen,took our order&had our sides out quickly. Portions generous and very tasty. I had the Mama burger&my son had the Black&Blue burger platter(includes fries&choice of salad,slaw,applesauce or cottage cheese)for an added price. It's a small dining section and it filled up fast for dinner. Daily specials offered,full bar,kid friendly. Award certificates & pictures on the walls.

Overall the food was pretty good. The fries though were in desperate need of salt and have been every time I've eaten here, but just asking for a bit of salt isn't the most difficult thing to do. I will say it is odd that this is a burger place that has never once asked me how I'd like my burger cooked but the food is still pretty good.

Absolutely great food. Rather you order a burger ( best one in town ) or a big steak. Have never had a bad meal or drink here.. Recommend highly...

Excellent fast service with restaurant quality food from a bar. Ordered the New York strip steak and it was cooked to perfection. We usually just phone in a pickup order but wanted to eat there for a change because we wasn't ordering their burgers. Their burgers are excellent but they are loaded with toppings and condiments and are a bit to messy to eat in public.

Great food. Clean and inviting for quick lunch or family dinner. Very family friendly. Great service. Daily specials . Home cooked food.
