Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express – Jacksonville East, just off Interstate 295 and Atlantic Boulevard. Whether visiting us for business or pleasure, we are the hotel for you! Centrally located between downtown Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach, you are never far from work or play. Our guests can come and enjoy a home away from home in our spacious rooms or host a meeting in our 564 square foot meeting space. Each guest room includes our Holiday Inn Express plush bedding, a seating area, work space, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Certain rooms have Jacuzzi tubs and sleeper sofas. Guests may also enjoy complimentary WIFI throughout the hotel, access to our multi-computer on site business center and our signature Express Start hot breakfast. We also boast an outdoor pool, a 24 hour fitness center, as well as an agreement with LA Fitness where our Guests receive complimentary access to all its state of the art equipment.
The Holiday Inn Express is just miles away from Jacksonville Beach, the St. Johns Town Center, Everbank Field and downtown Jacksonville. With continuous outdoor festivals, live music concerts, sporting events, theater productions and scenic views, Jacksonville is not only the largest city in the United States, it is always exciting! Stayed 8 days. The Good: Room was clean and roomy. Extra sitting area with a pull-out in our room. Hotel was quiet. No slamming doors, running up and down the hall, couldn't hear the people to either side or above us. Continental Breakfast was okay, plenty of variety. Lisa at the front desk in the mornings and Miranda at night was super helpful. The bad: our fridge had one setting - freeze: and our AC unit was rather noisy. Maintenance came in and looked at them and was able to fix the fridge. He quietened it down a bit, but it was still kinda noisy. We still stayed 8 nights. The other: getting out into traffic can be sketchy at best if you make a left out of the parking lot and follow the short road (the most direct route) to Atlantic Boulevard. Don't bother. Instead, go right out of the parking lot and follow the road around to St Johns Bluff road. So much easier and safer and not that far out of the way. There was some construction going on at a building right next to the hotel. We were on the construction side and never heard a thing.

When I checked in my room it wasn't prepared as requested, but the staff quickly resolved the issue. Management need pay closer attention to our IHG Rewards account for our request and needs. Also our coffee maker was missing, but quickly replaced. Makes me wonder! Also we attended the Georgia/Florida game and in the lobby you were able to what the SEC NETWORK channel but it wasn't available in our rooms per the staff. It was brought to the attention of the GM but she never got back to me on that! I would stay at this property again, but the owner/owners needs to make some changes or Hampton Inn off exit 47 will be seeing me again for next years Georgia/Florida game!!

We enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Holiday Inn Express during Hurricane Irma. First, I have to praise the amazingly hardworking staff. From check in until check out, the employees went above and beyond to make sure guests enjoyed their stay. It was crazy hectic before, during, and after the storm, yet, the staff did not skip a beat. The room we stayed in was very clean and spacious, and our bed & linens were clean and comfortable. My husband enjoyed the gym and business center. The hotel offered free breakfast, which was very enjoyable & diverse. Thanks for being our home away from home, & a great shelter from the storm. We will definitely stay again when in the Jax area.

My room was clean, as were the hallways, lobby, and breakfast area. The grounds were well kept. Glass doors and windows were all clean, too. Kudos to the house keeping staff. The room was plenty big enough, with separate sitting area. The free breakfast was just what you would expect from a free breakfast. Nothing special, but the hot items were hot and cold items were cold. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and well trained. Actually seamed happy to serve me, even though I was checking in after 10pm. Could have been a five star rating, if it wasn't for the location... impossible to see until you're right up on it, on a dark road without signage. Use your smartphone/GPS. All in all, better than I expected at the price point, thanks to the staff.

Despite the surrounding area, it’s a nice hotel. I stay there in business trips. Always clean and the staff is friendly and approachable.
