Love this hotel since the remodel years ago. It's beautiful and comfortable like a Holiday Inn should be. I wish it had not jumped past the Government allowed room rate, since I was always there for work. Now I'm forced to stay about 20 miles further down the road to stay withinin the allowed budget. I miss this place. Great breakfast, too.

Holiday Inn Express, has had an update past couple of years, looks great. We took a mid week get away to visit Gibsland. This location was close for us. We booked online and went for the King size bed with a jacuzzi. Really pretty nice room and the jacuzzi, just cost a couple dollars more. The room has a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. The Keurig Coffee maker was perfect. Closet was nice size with a full sizer ironing board and iron. King size bed was very firm, while the big pillows were very comfy and soft. The over head adjustable reading lamps were a major plus, but you can feel the halogen lamp heat. Bathroom was laid out nicely, even had an adjustable magnifying makeup mirror. Room 206 is right above the pool. The pool was closed but was clean and ready for use. Check in was very simple and easy. The front desk even suggested a few local sites to take in during our visit. The hotel is right across the street from a couple of gas and convenience stores.

This place was absolutely perfect! A perfect room for my needs. Extremely clean, great employees. Even the morning breakfast was good. They also gave me a discount just because. I didn't even ask. I don't think I'll be in this area again, but if I am I know I'll stay again!

I would not have given a rating at all, but for the review to post, I had to. Service is horrible! Holly at the front desk was extremely rude when asked to contact someone to clean my room. I returned to my room at 4:30 pm to find that the room and bathroom had not been cleaned. I asked to speak with a manager about the situation and I was rudely told that there was no manager until Monday, that I could speak with. I was then told that housekeeping was gone for the day and if I would like to have someone return to clean my room. I was really sick and wanted to lay down, but Holly then told me that housekeeping left a message that we only wanted towels and not to clean my room. This was untrue and I tried to explain to Holly, but i was rudely cut off. I brought her lack of good customer service to her attention and she continued to not take my complaint in effort to resolve the matter. Not once did Holly apologize for my room not being serviced in a timely manner. I will not return to this location. I will drive an additional 30 minutes outside of Minden if I have to, to another hotel that will give good customer service! I am extremely upset about my visit. I will also add that Holly was spotted smoking a cigarette at the front entrance of the hotel. She and another front reception employee. If this is a non-smoking hotel, then employees should also abide by the rules. I personally am allergic to smoke and did not enjoy inhaling it as I entered the hotel. I welcome a discussion with Management.

Very accommodating staff. My suite was very comfortable and clean. My only issue was the noise from the renovation workers. Those guys were in the Housekeeping room which was directly next door to me and they were drilling and making all kinds of noise ON A SUNDAY MORNING!!!!!!!! WTH!!!!! But, I would definitely stay here again.
