The hotel feels a little outdated, but it is excellently located. It's surrounded by several restaurants within walking distance, not to mention that the woods around it provide a feeling of coziness. The room was big and comfy, although the air conditioning could use some modernization. One of the little complaints I would have about it are the doorknobs: don't be fooled by them, for some reason they open up upwards. Nice, comfortable and in a beautiful place. Would definitely stay again.

One of the true jewels of the Holiday Inn Express family, not only aesthetically pleasing (done in a colonial motif), it is staffed by genial, accommodating professionals, who seem to truly enjoy their work. Rooms are well appointed, with modern amenities that are Incorporated deftly into the colonial setting. Two vanity sinks, one inside the bathroom/shower area, a second in the room, by the closet -- a nice touch for those couples who find themselves jockeying for mirror time before an evening out. Breakfast is a full spread, served in a bright solarium just off the lobby. One of the best HIEs I've stayed at, and I've stayed at more than I can count. (For those of you who need a nitpick in your reviews, the parking is a bit scarce in front, and most guest end up parking around back, in an area that could use a couple more flood lights!)

I was in attendance for an Academy (Schooling/Training) meeting in State College, and they had put me up for the night in this hotel, upon walking in the front doors you get the feeling of more of a prestigious setting vs a home setting, you look forward an see a large fireplace, an beautiful couch arrangements for social meeting, the staff was very pleasant an accommodating, there was a mix up in another associates room, on my company end, yet they quickly accommodated their room. The rooms were very clean an neatly decorated, stylish mix of new age, alongside the look of historical fixtures that fit the theme of the old town... It was a very pleasant stay! When I return for more classes/training, I hope I get placed into this hotel again! Very pleased with my stay!

I'm an Elite member and always have stayed within the IHG chain, but this Holiday Inn is one of my favorites. From the staff to the rooms, everything is 5 stars. Thank you guys!!

One of the best HI Express's I have ever stayed at. The check-in staff were energetic and just fine people. The Nittany Lion in the lobby wowed me. As a 1985 alumni I was very proud of that mascot. The property is very well maintained and the room was perfect for my one night stay.
