HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with the Holiday Inn Express in Stephenville. Cockroaches in the room, the elevator out of order (we were on the 3rd floor), the breakfast area has plastic hanging from the ceiling because of the renovation, the pool was not heated and was too cold to swim in, and the stairwells smelled like a gymnasium. The front desk told my daughter that pest control was sprayed two weeks prior to their arrival, but the stairwells still had bug catchers on the floor. The only good thing was when they demanded to leave after only one night, the manager allowed them to leave without any hassle. Have stayed many times previous at Holiday Inn Express with good results, but this was not one of them.

Very nice, spacious room. Every necessary appointment. Excellent bedding and a quiet room make for a relaxing night's rest. We'll be back!

When I reached the room, the door was propped open and and the refrigerator was off and open. There was a towel in it to soak up the water while it defrosted. When I took off my shoes and reached down to pick them up I noticed a nail on the floor. The room wasn't what I expected, but the staff was friendly. Just wish they gave me a room that was completely ready.

The beds were a little hard for my husband and I. We both woke up with headaches. But the staff was friendly and the rooms were clean.

I work as a Field Service Technician and I am always on the road traveling. Staying at Holiday Inn Express always makes my day because everyone treat me so nice and they always have such awesome customer service. That's what I thought until I stayed at this location. When I made my reservation on the phone, I was greeted well and I was able to make my reservation with no issues, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was not greeted with a smile or anything. The worker seemed annoyed and not responsive to any type of conversation. I was not told about any offers for my stay being that I am a platinum member. She did not enclose any information or offer me anything for being a member. Checking out was the same. I was up at 5 am and usually around 5:45, they have fruit and some drinks out for breakfast. Breakfast starts at 6. There was nothing out and when i went to ask the lady at the front, she was so busy on her phone, that she did not even hear me. I like this rewards program and I just wanted to share my experience with this location. I know this probably will not get read but its fine. Have a great day
