After checking in at 11pm and getting a late check-out (2pm), I went to work and returned in the morning to get some much needed sleep. I placed the do not disturb sign on the door and was interrupted not once by housekeeping but twice. I spoke to my coworker who also stayed the night and he had the same experience. Upon checking out we mentioned this to the front desk clerk. My coworker was awarded IHG points meanwhile I was not offered anything despite the inconveniences. It's a shame, because aside from the poor service, the hotel and rooms itself are very nice and much better than previous Holiday Inns I've stayed at across Canada.

Saved 35% using hotwire. Yes, the room was a long walk from the front desk, & amenities. But there are closer key carded doors to the parking lot so getting in & out to your car is not an issue. For our needs we got an excellent room for a night visiting family. The indoor pool closes for 2 weeks in August (when the outdoor pool is available) but sauna and whirlpool are still open. I would stay there again happily.

Con: Room and Guest Service basically never answered the phone. Food delivered 30 min later than Eta. Outdoor pool closed although the front desk kept saying it'll be open at 9am and it was really nice weather. Location not the best if you want to go to uptown Waterloo. Old furnishing. Noisy because hotel is right next to the highway. Pro: Breakfast food was good and reasonably priced. Mall around the corner. Balcony for some rooms.

Amazing service, very polite staff. Breakfast buffet very clean, fresh, tasted amazing. Pools were clean, easily accessible. Linens were very clean and crisp. Not much noise heard with doors closed. Simple check in procedure without a long wait. Our stay was quite enjoyable.

The front desk was very polite and helpful. However the building is really dated and the carpet on the floor was dirty and disgusting. It looks like a recent interior renovation was done foe the guest rooms, but they were scrwed by the contractor. Look at the cracking paint in the bathroom, it tells everything.
