Dr. Richter was very helpful in understanding the options for my cat's mouth cancer situation to help her lead the most comfortable life she can at the moment with hopes to prolong her life and fight the cancer with natural immune boosting supplements and treatments. It was comforting to have the honest hard truth about our cat Lizzie, but also know there are things we can for her through these methods that help her be a happy cat for as long as possible rather than to just watch her deteriorate. For that we are grateful.
Thank you for the in depth one on one session. Dr. Richter was so informative and my time with him was relaxed and unrushed. Both Ellie and I appreciate that very much. I also appreciate how everything was pet friendly. I know that sounds odd when you're at a Vet, you assume it should be, but it wasn't "a medical environment" with tall metal tables for dogs to be lifted up on to be examined. Dr and assistants came down to my pet's level. Keeping her relaxed with a dog bed and comfortable environment. My dog Ellie, which usually becomes nervous having to be placed on top of a table to be examined, was completely relaxed. Thank you so much!!! What a great place!!
What a great experience. We were looking for a new vet for our 8 year old Newdle Newfoundland/Poodle and were so happy with our interaction at Holistic Vet. We had a nice thoughtful conversation covering lots of wellness care topics and appreciated the knowledge and balance in the responses. The environment is terrific and vet and technician so welcoming. Next up.... Buddy our 2 year old kitty.
The staff has been professional and courteous from day one. During my visit, the staff were very helpful and made all of us feel welcome. I was very pleased with the attention to detail and thoroughness of the exams for my pets. I did not feel rushed and all of my questions were addressed in a polite complete manner. Dan
I rarely give reviews, especially negative ones, but I feel this needs to be said. Don't fall for the hype. This vet may be good at alternative treatments, but I would never go there for regular vet services. I had been bringing my cat to her regular vet, but thought that I might get some additional help by seeing a holistic vet. I saw both vets over a period of about 3 years. This winter, I brought my cat in to see Dr Richter and specifically asked him to look at her eyes. They had a lot of black discharge and she was squinting. Dr Richter said that there was nothing wrong with her eyes. Shortly after, I brought her to our regular vet and found that she had conjunctivitis that was caused by an underlying herpes infection. This resulted in a corneal ulcer which was very painful. I then had to go to a vet eye specialist that conducted a procedure on her eye, with weeks of eyedrops. Then, on August 10th I brought her in to Dr Richter for an exam and blood test because she had kidney disease and high creatinine values. Dr Richter hardly touched her during the exam. In the next few weeks she hardly would eat. I contacted my regular vet and she told me to take my cat to the emergency vet. On August 23rd I took her to the emergency vet and she was diagnosed with advanced lymphoma and given weeks to live. She had lumps all along her throat, as well as through the rest of her body. This was not even two weeks after Dr Richter saw her. I put her down on the 27th. I like Dr Richter's book and the "feel" of the office. He has been kind in his communication. However, I think that the main thing a vet can do is to give thorough, informed exams and the exams he gave my cat were seriously wanting.
Hello! I was so thrilled that Dr. Richter was able to provided another option for Grumpy Miles's stomatitis/gingivitis condition. It has given me some HOPE that FME may be avoided!!! YAY!! Looking to setup another appointment very soon. THANK YOU DR!!
Rediculously expensive! Most vets aren't cheap but this place takes the cake. Animal holistic care is even more expensive then human holistic health care. For insurance chiropractic for animals is $295 for the first session. Most human doctors don't charge that much. It's pure greed, and very classist. I guess only the wealthy can afford holistic veterinary care.
I stand by my previous review. Just because you accept Care credit doesn't make up for your ridiculously high prices. It's straight up greed, because holistic Care for animals is less common and you know you can get away with charging more as a "novelty" so you do. That's shady and against the spirit of holistic healing. You should be ashamed of yourselves! Your business is classist, and no options for folks who are not wealthy.
Holistic Veterinary Care is a phenomenal veterinary clinic. When I come here I know that my animals will be cared for in a thorough manner. i have experienced that they take a lot of time to talk to you examine your animal and come up with a treatment plan. The practitioners are very educated and more knowledgeable than most veterinarians. I have complete trust that when I bring one of my dogs here they will be safe, happy, and most of all treated with love and respect. The inside of the clinic is very clean and the area is safe and there is always parking. Going inside is like a mini spa experience for you and your pet and the atmosphere is overall soothing, calm and healing. They offer a variety of services that you can't find most places. The quality of care here is the same as a human hospital if not better. The standard of care that is given here I have found to be superior to anything I have ever experienced. I am very thankful this place exists. I have always gotten an appointment when I needed it, and my calls are always returned quickly. The vet techs are very caring, compassionate, and trustworthy. If you want the very best for your fur baby this place is it.
