PROGRAMS offered at Holly Springs School For Early Education
Infant program is for children aged 6 weeks to 12 months. This program offers:
•4 to 1 child to teacher ratio.
•Baby sign language, to increase communication skills.
•Developmentally appropriate lesson plans, including art, music, language development, fine motor, gross motor, being read to, and sensory experiences.
•Supports emerging skills, such as pulling up, walking, feeding oneself, and basic words and sounds.
•Teachers with positive, loving attitudes who engage in quality interactions.
•During warm weather, the class goes on walks around the neighborhood, plays on the playgrounds, and even occasional water days.
Toddlers
6 to 1 child to teacher ratio (extra staff support during and lunchtime and as needed)
Toddler program is designed to be developmentally appropriate for children aged 13 months to 24 months. This program offers:
•6 to 1 child to teacher ratio.
•Focus on social and emotional growth.
•Positive encouragement for conflict resolution, including gentle redirection and modeling of positive behavior (in lieu of hitting, pushing, screaming, or yelling).
•Activities that are teacher-directed but child-inspired.

Two Year Olds

This program offers:

•Art, music & movement, dramatic play, science, mathematics, Spanish, sensory, physical education, and free play.
•Color, shape, letter, number and name recognition every day.
•Continued social development, such as self-help skills, cleaning up, mealtime, and general manners.

Pre-K Program

•Focus on early literacy skills such as copying words, writing their name, recognizing early sight words, and pre-reading using pre-reader books
•Community field trips to places like the pumpkin farm, ice cream shop, post office, and library, science museums etc.
*Houghton-Mifflan Kindergarten Curriculum is used for Language and Math
*Classes rotate and change rooms for language, science and math classes
*Annual Artspolure is held each year to document children's art including, clay, pottery, paper mache and other various materials.
Summer Camp/Track Out Program
*Daily field trips including swimming, parks, bowling, museums, Jump Zone, martial arts, Carolina Hurricanes, Durham Bulls and more. They are always on the go.
