I did not understand the federal trade commission or Colorado laws prior to hearing my dad's story of how he was treated at Holt by the "manager" himself and I was disgusted by the lack of compassion.

My father was told he had "15 minutes before they had to disinfect the body and put it in refrigeration or embalm." He was never offered any support, never asked about services or urn choices. There was absolutely no compassion or support. I was mad that my dad had to go through this without some sympathy from a funeral home, but after learning the laws of Colorado and FTC I am now livid. This was  unethical behavior and a misrepresentation of the law. 

If anyone cares about their loved ones, Do Not use the "services" of Holt funeral home. It's enough to deal with the loss of someone you love so deeply.

Both of my parents passed away I 2016. Our experience was very good with Holt mortuary. They were kind, considerate, treated us with respect. We have used this funeral home since I was a little guy and it had ALWAYS been great. I recommend them based on our family experience that I can remember back 55 years, yes 55 years of excellence.

Customer service is terrible. Where is the caring and sympathy? You don't get it from these people. I do not recommend this company, they are only interested in making money.
