Great place to eat. Wonderful location. Excellent service Delicious food. Made me feel like I was back home in Nashville with the Country-Weatern theme and music. Can't wait to return again for some more BBQ!
Just want to start by saying the staff here is excellent. The food however is not up to par. They charge way too much for the quality and flavor of the food. The brisket was dry with an OK flavor and had a nasty bbq sauce with it. The smoked wings tasted decent but also really dried up. In terms of sides the mac and cheese wasn’t seasoned well and the cole slaw was pretty good. I think this place has potential but honestly is charging too much for what they offer. Maybe consider preparing the meat differently and make sure the brisket is always juicy and flavorful bc that is the king of texas bbq. I’ve been to Franklin BBQ and other Texas spots and this place is no where near that level but they charge more. Last thing, definitely recommend changing the bbq sauce, it ruins the dish.
I'm from Texas and real BBQ is difficult to find on the West Coast. Well, this place is real BBQ. The brisket is tastey and tender and worth the visit all by itself. Also had the chicken, the Texas toast and the potato salad. All were good. Had to try the onion rings and I would order them again too. The foot traffic never stopped for pick up orders but there were plenty of seats as we ate in. I can see where parking could be limited, but at 5:30 on a Wednesday we found parking right out front.
Holy Cow what a great surprise. We were in the area and got there right when they opened. The tri-tip sandwich is outstandinghint add the bbq mustard for an awesome kick. The pulled pork is outstanding. Well done Holy Cow BBQ! Cream corn and corn bread....speaks for its self.
Ordered take out here a couple of weeks ago. Arrived pretty quickly and the food was still warm. We ordered the Hog Sandwich pulled pork, BBQ plate of tri-tip and ribs with collard greens, and Texas toast. Best Bite: oddly enough the collard greens were my favourite. Super flavourful and cooked to perfection. I can eat a pot full of these greens with no complaints. And their simple Texas toast with spices was surprisingly delicious. Definitely order these two sides!! My boyfriend really enjoyed the Hog. Tons of pulled pork and the coleslaw was pretty legit. The BBQ plate unfortunately under-delivered. While I know the tri-tip is leaner, it was quite dry and lacked any flavour unless drenched in their sauce. The ribs was also super dry and just didn’t have the juicy fall-off the bone, finger-licking goodness you’d expect. Next time, hopefully I’ll get to try their brisket and maybe that’ll be better...
The guy behind the counter who took my order was kind, enthusiastic, and attentive. That staff member is what’s convincing me to leave an extra star on this review. Other than that the food was not too exciting, portions were really small, and the taste was okay. Not worth the price in my opinion.
Damn good. Everything has been stellar but the pork ribs stand out and are about as good as any you’ll have. All the sides are also great, the greens a must have.
Food not bad and customer service is great! Their Happy Hour offers decent 6$ dishes that are reasonably portioned and good!
The ribs were really good but the real surprise was the delicious cole slaw, honestly the best I had in the entire US. The staff was super friendly and the service quick. Another highlight are the restrooms which are clean and freshly renovated. If I was not leaving LA soon I would definitely come back here.
Great customer service and decent food. Coming from the south, I should probably grade on a curve.
