Story

Rooted in the Word of God and nourished by the Eucharist, we celebrate the life of our Lord Jesus Christ by proclaiming the Good News and providing spiritual growth, support and service with love. Founded by Italian immigrants a century ago, today our parish continues the tradition of extending a loving, caring and affirming welcome to all who join us as we Continue Our Journey of Faith.

Lord please forgive me!! I use to love this church my children have gotten Baptized there we have had priest come to our home to bless the house cars and family we attended the church until they did the unthinkable!! I called and requested a priest to attend my dad's funeral. the priest I requested was not available, but they were accommodating and set up for another priest to attend the secretary INSURED me PROMISED me that the priest would be there. WELL!!!!!!! It was down to the final hour and no priest!!! ,Minutes kept flying by I made several attempts to contact the church and the priest but kept getting voicemail!!! I left several messages to call me ASAP and NO ONE CALLED ME BCAK FOR DAYS DAYS DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!! FINALLY i get through to the woman that set me up with the priest and her excuse was the priest had other plans that came up!!!!! And says u should have gotten a call from him to cancel on u.REALLY OTHER PLANS ON MY DADS FUNERAL!!! The woman had no care in the world no remorse! Later that day i spoke with the priest and he to said i had other things to do!!! ARE U KIDDING ME!!!!! NO PHONE CALL, NO OTHER PRIEST SENT, NO APOLOGY ,NOTHING!!!!! THEY WERE EXTREMELY UNSYMPATHETIC!!! ITS DISGUSTING!!! WAS IT TO MUCH TO ASK U TAKE EVEN 5 MIN OUT OF YOUR SOOOO BUSY SCHEDULE TO SAY A PRAYER FOR MY FATHER WITH HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!!! APPARENTLY THIS CHURCH SEEMS TO THINK SO I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT INTO THAT CHURCH AGAIN NOR WILL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!!!

I was baptized in the "old" church and truly love the open feel of the "new" church. I graduated from HFS and while I'm not thrilled with religiosity today, I have fond memories of my childhood experiences in relation to Holy Family Parish.

Nice on the inside. Priest was a jerk during wedding ceremonies.
