Story

To truly understand Holy Redeemer, come visit and experience this extraordinary learning environment. Here we believe in the power of the potential that lies within each student. “Learning by Discovery" defines our unique approach to learning and serves as a guide for daily practice. We begin each day with Morning Prayer, where the entire school participates, and then our Knights News Team leads the morning announcements via Closed Circuit TV which includes Saint of the Day, Sports Minute, and birthday wishes. It’s part of what makes every day at Holy Redeemer special.

Starting In 1994, Holy Redeemer became the first Catholic School in the Kissimmee area to offer exceptional Catholic Based Education. Our diverse arts program offers opportunities in music, drama and art. The athletic program offers basketball, soccer, track and volleyball. Our students perform thousands of hours of community service each year. We hope you’ll use the Web site to learn more about the depth and breadth of Holy Redeemer’s programs. You are invited to come and walk around our campus, talk with students and meet some of the faculty and staff. Please contact us to arrange a tour of our wonderful school.

I cannot speak highly enough of the teachers and staff at the school. We have two daughters who have been there for five years. The family atmosphere is more than I ever hoped; it is a true community. Watching the interactions between faculty / administration / staff and the students renews my faith in humanity.

Teachers inadequate. Not enough resources. Shame on the diocese for not subsidizing a "title one" private school with enough funds so that they can provide the same education as the wealthier catholic schools. There are many rude and ignorant parents here too and that ruins the atmosphere. They are allowed to bully other parents and even students. One of them coaches sports and she is the reason our daughter doesn't do sports. We are glad to be done with this school this year.

Wanted to sign my son for the up coming school school year. While walking up to the front desk the ladies at the front looked me up and down and ignored me. When I FINALLY got someone to help me, I asked about applying for the school they stated they "weren't accepting kids at this time" and there "polices had changes" and I would have to come back another time, once again shrugging me off, only ONE person made eye contact with me the whole time. I asked for paper work and the ignored me, I asked for ANY information on the school and they finally handed me a brochures, and a information packet. The worst part of my experience is I am a active member of the church and my son was baptized here. Granted I found another school for my son.

If you have no choice then sign up, but if you are looking for something good go somewhere else. Not a good experience there.

This school did nothing to fix the bullying issues that my daughter had. At one point, I found my daughter crying at the pick up location with chalk all over her from being punched by erasers, and immediately wanted to know what had occurred. So I parked my car and went inside to see what the school was going to do to fix this issue and they had told me that both my daughter and the other much bigger girl would get punished for her getting beat with the erasers?? I didn't see a single powder of chalk on the other student so I was shocked that my daughter would get in trouble as well, even though she did not hit back. The other option was for them both to be cleaned of this incident, and for the sake of my daughter I was forced to take that option. Other times my daughter would come home with her school items vandalized, and when I brought it up to the schools attention, they punished EVERYONE in her class instead of finding out who did it. It wasn't only the students either, but the teachers as well. When I enrolled her into the school, she was beginning 6th grade, and I understand that most of the students are much more ahead since she came from the public school system, however there was no reason for them to treat her as if she were some sort of stupid child. She is typically a quick learner, but with the attitude she received from her teachers, it was no wonder she had no motive to get things done correctly. Instead of taking time out to see why She couldn't seem to write in cursive, they assumed it was because she didn't want to, and that was not the case. She never even saw cursive writing until that year, and when no one taught her how to write it, she did what she could; WRITE IN PRINT. They kept giving her low grades for not writing in cursive, and she kept trying to explain to them that she didn't know how, but they believed she was lying. She at some point tried to write cursive letters herself by looking up at the cursive alphabet the teachers put up on the wall so she could try and write, but she received low grades for not completing the assignments in time, plus the point of cursive was to attach the letters to make a word, and she never attached the letters because she was never taught. I am not pleased with the way this school handles these situations and I took her out of that school the same year I brought her in. Needless to say, she got a lot better treatment from a public school. To think I wasted my money so that my daughter could be abused.
