Story

Holy Smoke BBQ started in the Summer of 2004 bringing high quality BBQ, great craft Beers and Bourbons to the Tri State area; in an atmosphere where people want to have fun and socialize. Holy Smoke’s menu is loaded with New York's best BBQ and is rated WORLD CLASS (A+) from BeerAdvocate.com. Besides award winning BBQ, outstanding Beer & Bourbon, and great surroundings; we have an excellent staff taking care of our patrons – which is a huge reason for our success.

241 Route 6N-has a Bar Room (30 rotating craft taps), Main Dining Room, Patio area and Great Lawn.

Croton NY
2016 Albany Post Road (actually Route 9A)-has a huge bar area with 30 seats (30 rotating craft taps), 3 large Dining Rooms and a Patio area.

If they had a 3.5 star option, I would have selected that. I have mostly positive things to say. Based on previous reviews my family and I tried the St. Louis Ribs. 3/4 rack was big enough for me, my wife and 6 year old who only ate two ribs. The full rack wasn't much more money. Definitely a good value. The ribs had a deep smoke flavor which I actually liked. Very tender and not very fatty. I slathered it with BBQ sauce which was a bit sweet. The side of creamed spinach was great. Would get a larger size next time. Sweet potato fries were typical fries. I ordered a sweet tea hoping for real southern sweet tea. Just crappy Lipton. Come on guys, go the extra mile on the sweet tea. Corn bread muffin was dry, didn't eat it. Overall I would return for the ribs, creamed spinach, beer and fair pricing.

This place has a great menu. Their BBQ sauce is a sweet one. The pulled pork is good, brisket tender, chicken was dry but many restaurants make the mistake of not taking it off in time as it will continue to cook while resting. The onion rings were yummy. The mac and cheese however is probably the worst thing I have tasted. It is sour and full of a grainy substance that seems like they add a lot of flour? Maybe? The corn muffins are a dense heavier corn muffin. We will gi back and try some more stuff! P. S. The satff was very nice. Oh, and the value is spectacular!

The food is good but not worth tolerating the owner. We had them cater a private party at our house. The owner was most unfriendly and difficult. Not only did he oversell us on food (our guests ate literally one third what he sold us), but he also substituted lower quality meats than what is served in the restaurant. We will not be spending any more of our money there.

Great bbq for the whole family. Can't wait to come back with more family to enjoy BBQ and great selections of beer!
