Hiring Home Partners for their property management services for the past 6 years was the single best decision that I've made.  I'm a graduate of Dartmouth College located in Hanover, NH, and took over the management of my Fraternity there in 2010.  The fraternity, like many homes in NH, is quite old - it was built in 1935.  It has great bones but in 2010 it was showing the wear from a lack of regular maintenance over 30+ years.  To make things more difficult, I live in Los Angeles so can't be there to oversee the work.  I imagine there are many owners of vacation homes in NH and VT that find problems when they use their home, but can't be there on site all the time to oversee the work that needs to be done to maintain it. Home Partners is perfect for these situations.

After about 2 years of hiring and firing various contractors and subcontractors for shoddy and incomplete work, in 2012 I was referred to Sandra and Matt Bourgery - the owners of Home Partners - by another Dartmouth Fraternity and I couldn't be happier.  Sandra inspects the fraternity every 2 weeks, takes photos of things that need fixing and emails them to me.  She prepares estimates and gathers quotes from subcontractors when necessary, gets everything fixed, holds subcontractors accountable, and invoices me in a very clear and itemized manner.  While their specialties are painting and carpentry - and believe me, they've made our Fraternity look beautiful - she regularly hires other subcontractors including electricians, plumbers, locksmiths, roofers, masons, janitors and cleaning services, and even has found HVAC specialists, building-envelope engineers, WIFI installation specialists, septic and sump-pump specialists and others to do whatever needs doing.  They've replaced my boiler, my sump pump, broken radiators, the laundry machines, and they ensure the furnace is regularly serviced. Before I hired Home Partners, I was spending $25K a year on heating oil. They helped me cut that bill in half by modernizing my furnace and winterizing the house every year. They figured out how to get the furnace connected to a system of wifi-connected thermostats throughout the Fraternity, so the temperature is better maintained, and we can now even turn down the heat remotely if somebody leaves it on high before heading home for winter break.  

Typically, when you hire a contractor or subcontractor to complete a job, all they care about is making sure they don't lose money on your project.  If they screw something up, it might not be obvious right away and by the time you figure that out, you're out thousands of dollars and they're nowhere to be seen - believe me, I've done it.  With Home Partners, they are truly the Owner's Representative on every project.  They value the long term relationship, and they've built relationships with the best subcontractors in the area.  On the rare occasion that somebody doesn't do work to their standards, Sandra makes them come back and fix it or she doesn't pay them.  And if they don't come back, she'll hire somebody else and eat the cost if it ends up being more than she estimated.  While the Upper Valley has some great people, it does not have an abundance of skilled labor like you might find in a bigger city like Boston and good luck finding workers with proper insurance.  You need somebody that has your back and your best interests at heart.  Home Partners has delivered time and time again and I whole-heartedly encourage you to contact them to get an estimate for anything that your home needs.

If the person driving the Home Partners Truck in West Lebanon, NH today is the same person who might be painting your home, I would be scared.  Never have I encountered such a nasty, rude individual.  Not only did he cut me off on an icy road by making a U-turn right in front of me, he also had the gall to start screaming at me while giving me an obscene gesture.  How embarrassing and unfortunate for Home Partners to have this individual representing them.

management very poor! new ownership is the worst thing that could have happened to home partners really!! you won't get satisfaction from them at all save your money and time!!!
