Story

Small family campground located on the lower part of the Saco River. You can swin, fish, canoe, kayak and tube down the river. Sea fishing at Camp Ellis or Pine Point.

10 mins for OOB and other nice beaches. Kennebunk Port 30mins away as is Portland.

Red Socks always on in the office as are the Pats during the season. Great place to meet others, enjoy a bag of popcorn! or sit outside and watch the world go by.

In response to Roxanne's review about my behavior.  As always there are ALWAYS two sides to a story and witnesses to the event!   Roxanne run the gate, there were two people behind her as she ran the gate, which could  have come down of the hood of her vehicle.  (which would have been our fault, plus it's posted 1 vehicle at a time through the gate) The driver behind Roxanne  followed her driving faster than the posted 5mph through the children play area, which the driver behind Roxanne found up setting.

 At her mothers site, YES I did confront Roxanne and again a witness was walking by with her dog.
Again ALWAYS two sides to a story.  You ran the gate, you were driving far to fast through the campground and that was pointed out to me by some concerned mothers.   As to you giving me the finger.................what every rocks your boat young lady.   I was informed that you are not well by your mother and your friend who kept apologizing on your behalf.  Your mother can not look me in the eye to this day.

By the way, you are always welcome at our campground.

This is one of the best camp grounds for family's they have farm animals and the staff and owners are amazing..we just love it here it's just so relaxing..🍁🍁🍁🍂🍂🍂🍂🍃🍃🍃🍃

I would never go here ever again. The women is rude, and crazy! Almost hit my car with her golf cart and started screaming at me and also told my mother I flipped her off. When my mother said I didn't do that I just waved at her she said if I had gave her the finger she would of broke it off!!!  Giving it a 1 star but really should be none what so ever.

My family and friends will tell you that I am not a camper.  This campground has changed me into a camper!  We have 5 sons under the age of 15.  I try my best to participate in the things they love, like camping.  We loved this campground!  The camp sites, the river access, the super clean bathrooms, the petting zoo, and the playground were amazing.  The owners were so helpful and friendly, we really felt at home immediately.  There are not too many places where a family of 7 feels comfortable.....but The Homestead By The River, was it!  Can't wait to go again
