Homestead is my go-to spot in Northampton for hosting friends and family. They source ingredients locally and make their pasta in-house, ensuring fresh and flavorful dishes. The meatballs are a standout – they taste like my friend’s Nonna made them, adding a comforting touch to every meal.Food: 5/5
Had a terrific experience dining at homestead. This is a great example of a restaurant doing the right things. The service was above and beyond. The food was phenomenal. I highly recommend the homemade bread. Not only was the food and service top notch, but the restaurant has a great atmosphere and modern day easthetic that is timless. It's a great spot for any occasion to eat food and have some drinks.
Went here on a date, didn’t know much about the restaurant but was pleasantly surprised. The drink I got was an elote margarita which I felt could be a hit or a miss - thankfully, it was a hit! The burrata was excellent, the focaccia was a bit dry, and the pasta was good quality but I would probably try something else next time. Nothing wrong with it, though, just a different flavor than I was expecting for pasta with clams.
We've been here several times, as we love the Rigatoni Bolognese and their special stuffed pasta which changes regularly is always tempting! Tonight we ventured to try a few other pasta dishes as well. The marinated olives and foccacia are a great starter. The Black Rose is one of the best drinks I've ever had! Friday night around 5:30pm we didn't have reservations, but scored seats at the bar, and received tremendous service by the male bartender that night!
We arrived at 5:50pm. We did not have a reservation but were lucky to get the high top table option, which was only reserved for 7:30pm. Our party of 4 had a fantastic time. We ordered several smaller plates to share: whipped ricotta, meatballs, Caesar salad, roasted beets. All top notch and each delivered by a different friendly and professional staff member. We also shared the Rigatoni and Duck Breast. SO DELICIOUS. This was the first time going but will not be our last. Definitely 100% recommend this place. Hardworking people who are producing quality food with a friendly atmosphere.
We had dinner here with a large group and it was absolutely wonderful. The food is superlative, the cocktails incredible, and the service gracious. Truly a gem. JW and his team are masters of their craft.Food: 5/5
Top notch restaurant with first rate cuisine/cocktails and a nice, casual atmosphere. The food and drinks are comparable to what you would find in West Hartford or Newbury St. in Boston. Even the chicken breast, which I have seen far more expensive restaurants struggle with, was cooked to perfection. Honestly, if they were in NYC, they would probably be Michelin rated, they're that good. If Northampton can get a few more restaurants of this quality, it might just become a dining destination.
Really cool concept here. Everything has an farm-y, home-y feel to it, from the decor, seating and walls down to the food and drink menus. The pasta dish and drink I had were both good. I felt like the portions were a little small for the price but again I have to take into account the home-made, rustic angle their menu has. Overall a great experience!
Phoebe was our server and I truly can’t praise her enough. She was busy, but on top of everything… And the FOOD was delicious and perfectly proportioned. Started with focaccia and olives - moved on to ricotta dumpling NOM NOM so good! The bf was debating the buckwheat or the malfade - went malfade per Phoebes comments on each dish. We will 100% be back again! Thank you for a great experience!!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on a Sunday evening, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The ambiance was perfect for a peaceful evening alone, with a clean and inviting atmosphere. The open kitchen concept added a unique touch, allowing me to see my food being prepared, which I loved. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel special throughout the meal. And I must mention the Black Rose cocktail - it was absolutely phenomenal, a delightful complement to the delicious meal. I can't recommend this place enough for a memorable solo or couple dining experience on a Sunday evening. The decor of the place was also something I truly appreciated, adding to the overall charm of the experience!"
