I'm suspicious of those three reviews from a couple months ago. Kind of looks like someone made fake accounts. So lemme explain my experience with them.

I moved to Brookings within the last 2 years with a lemon of a rig. It had problem after problem. They were able to figure every one out and give very fair estimates, especially when I did comparisons from other auto services. When I finally had a problem that just cost too much, instead of selling me on fixing the car and just taking the money, they were legit with me and told me you should consider getting a new one.

Honest and dependable. My go-to for anything mechanical. The only flaw they have is they're too busy. But proper planning ahead and they'll treat you right.

My daughter goes to SDSU and is 5 hours from home. Hometown has serviced/repaired her vehicle on several occasions. I can not say enough good things about Tim and Hometown service. Professional, pleasant, efficient and most of all trustworthy.

If Gomer Pyle from the Andy Griffith Show and the Three Stooges started an automotive repair shop they would do a better job than the hooligans at Hometown Services and Tire. Expect the front desk receptionist to not have a clue what is going on. Expect to bring your car back numerous times because the issue wasn't resolved. I would give a negative star rating if it was possible!
