Honest…An Ahmedabad , Gujarat based Franchise. Sorry for the late review. Visited this restaurant last June 2023. Feeling of satisfaction. We grew up eating pav bhaji / Chinese / pulav from Honest in home town Ahmedabad. After the visit of Spectecular temple of BAPS , Swaminarayan, had visited this outlet and stunned by the same taste I found it in city. Ditto taste and texture of pav bhaji with so much flavours. Paneer chilli, Hakka Noodles and Pulav –one should not miss. One can get some Indian food like chhole bhature, paratha, etc there. What some one needs to accompanying having Indian food with Bollywood music on the go. I bet you will miss india for sure. Rest of the things are in place. Hygiene, supportive staff, owner and ample parking. What one should asked for in NJ. Worth visiting and I have found more of the GORA enjoying our Indian Food that’s the proof that the dishes are not over spicy, perfect balance of taste. If someone asked me where to go eat, I would definitely suggest them to this place.
An awesome experience at this Honest restaurant! The pav bhaji never disappoints, and the rose mastani was a delightful surprise. Other dishes like paneer chilli, vegetarian Manchurian, and Veg hakka noodles were equally delicious with a desi touch. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the Bollywood songs vibe and ample parking. Takeaway option available too. Overall, had a great time! Vegetarian options: From dosas and pav bhaji to chats and main courses, the menu offers a variety of vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: Appreciated the staff's attitude, attention to children, and their polite demeanor.
Having visited this establishment multiple times, I've consistently found it to be a delightful experience. The food is not only delectable but the service is also commendable. Standout dishes include Pav Bhaji, Dahi Puri, Manchow Soup, Crispy corn and Gobi Manchurian. Chole Bhature, Paratha, and Choor Choor Naan are decent options as well. It's worth noting that the spice levels can be on the higher side, especially for kids, even at the mild spice level, which may feel more like medium or above. In comparison to other Honests that we have been to, although they offer a diverse menu, the absence of Thalis is a bit of a disappointment. Overall, it stands out as a fantastic spot for vegetarian Indian cuisine. IG: journey_man16
I have been to many different Honest restaurants previously, but this restaurant is just amazing. The food was fantastic and well worth it. My family and I drove an hour to this restaurant, and trust me, it was fantastic. Not only was the food great but even the interior or the restaurant was fantastic. The staff is super nice and very helpful. If someone asked me where to go eat, I would definitely suggest them to this place.
Authentic ethnic atmosphere that reminds me of an Indian household in the 1980s — straight with Indian music hits from the 1980s. Food is fresh and table service is fast and friendly.Food: 5/5
Gastronomic Journey at Honest Restaurant East Windsor, NJ As I entered the restaurant, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that was a seamless blend of traditional Indian charm and modern finesse. The ambient lighting cast a warm glow, highlighting the intricate patterns and rich colors that adorned the space. The menu was a celebration of India’s rich culinary heritage, reimagined with a contemporary twist. All the Indochinese fusion were a revelation, marinated in a blend of spices that danced on the palate, seared to a delightful crispness especially Indochinese sizzler. Similarly, the Jumbo grilled sandwich was a masterpiece, infused with a depth of flavor that spoke of slow cooking and aromatic spices. The service mirrored the excellence of the cuisine. The staff, with their genuine smiles and discreet presence, ensured a dining experience that was as smooth as it was enjoyable. For a sweet finale, the Mawa Kulfi created a memorable end to a splendid meal. In essence, The Honest Restaurant at East Windsor, NJ offers not just a meal but a voyage through the wonders of Indian flavors, making it an essential destination for those who cherish the vibrancy of Indian cuisine.
Excellent place to eat here. We twenty two tourist under the banner of Akshar Travels, enjoyed lot. Excellent quality, quick service, adaptable to change at short notice and cleanliness in surrounding area of hotel. Really very good experience.Food: 5/5
Was worth the 25 mins wait on a busy day.. Friday on a thanksgiving weekend! Reminisced old times of eating out in Mumbai.. here you will get everything under one roof.. menu is huge, lot of selection options.. we had fried rice with Manchurian, Bombay grilled cheese sandwich, cheese special pizza, rose falooda, manchow soup. Best was definitely manchow soup and rose falooda! Loud Bollywood music to add to the party mood, wasnt noisy loud but fun loud. Unfortunately my short vacation to New Jersey is coming to an end, will definitely come back. Service was good, Jayesh ji and all others were attentive towards all tables even though it was very busy. Overall worth it! Vegetarian options: Good for Indian Vegetarian options, expect the Mumbai street food varieties including dosas, sandwiches and chaats. Parking: If restaurant parking full, you can always park in the shopping plaza parking.
Exciting menu, mouth savoring taste, simply the best vegetarian delicacies. Authentic Gujarati food. Hats off to chef and friendly staff.Keep it up.Food: 5/5
One of best dining experience I had in North America, very tasty food, just like India. I will highly recommend the restaurant for authentic Indian taste. Dietary restrictions: We had without Onion and garlic food
