I got a waffle cone with chocolate ice cream and chocolate-peanut butter. My mother grew up going to Honey Hut so I’ve always heard how good it is! The ice cream is made with honey, making it super creamy and delicious. The service was also pretty quick, even with a line.
After a long day of hiking, there’s something refreshing about some nice ice cream. It didn’t matter that it was pretty cold out, I wanted ice cream. We came here and we’re extremely happy. It’s relatively cheap, the staff were really friendly, and it was nice to sit outside on the patio. Highly recommend if anyone is around.
Honey Hut Ice Cream is a small chain of ice cream shops in the northern Ohio area that specializes in small batch ice cream and serves pre-made pints, milkshakes, smoothies, sundaes and more! Their locations are small and the atmosphere is simple but cute with a bumble bee as their mascot. The ice cream we had was very good as both my wife and I had the flavors of the day. Service when we ordered was nice and prompt but before we came in, our group was sternly told to move to the side of the building because we were "in the parking lot" but we were not. More in detail below. Overall this would have been a 5 star experience had it not been for a rude employee but would definitely go back for some tasty ice cream. I had the banana peanut butter ice cream in a waffle cone and my wife had the vanilla bean crunch. My ice cream was a banana base ice cream with slivers of frozen peanut butter mixed through. The ice cream was smooth and the banana flavor was subtle but not overpowering. You can taste that they use real bananas and not just a flavoring. The peanut butter chips in the ice cream gave a wonderful complementing flavor and I love the way they melt in your mouth. I prefer this way of adding peanut butter to ice cream instead of a swirl or mixing it into the ice cream itself. The waffle cone was a generic cone you find almost anywhere so nothing special there. I had my wife's ice cream and it consisted of a vanilla ice cream base with finely chopped almonds and chocolate chips. The flavor was like eating chocolate dipped almonds with rich vanilla cream and it was delightful. There wasn't any big pieces so the bites only had a small amount of crunch which was soft. A great ice cream for those looking for something not too crazy but extra tasty. The employees inside were very busy as there was a rush of about 20-30 people who showed up when our group of 7 also arrived. The inside was packed and people were waiting outside with the door opened so we stayed back until there was room to get in line. We were waiting to the right of the door, out of the way from people walking out and nobody was in the parking lot. We had essentially taken the spot of the previous group that had went inside. We were waiting and had an employee come out and in an annoyed voice told us that we "can't be waiting in the parking lot and to wait on the side of the building". We looked back and noticed a waiting area but there were no signs or anything that signified that was the line to wait at. I was shocked by this because she didn't say anything to the previous groups and as we were leaving there were others doing the exact same thing we were doing. I'm not really sure why this employee took the time out of her day to come out and say something to us and not anyone else but it was uncalled for. Hence, this would have been a 5 star experience had it not been for her. Ice cream was good and the prices are reasonable for the quality but if you want customers to do something have better signage. Follow me for more reviews across America
I have to say having a wonderful medium scoop of Honey hut ice cream that I know is 100% homemade was absolutely delicious. I would definitely suggest a waffle cone the one with the sprinkles on it. It was so fresh tasting and it was wonderful and it wasn’t that fake chocolate stuff. My particular favorite is mint chocolate chip, however whatever your favorite flavor is I’m sure you would not be disappointed. The service was quick and easy, the people were friendly the place was clean. And they offer outdoor seating. And they have a freezer in which you can purchase ice cream for your own freezer.
Went to the one in brecksville was very disappointed the girl that took my order had no idea what a malt was.i ordered a blueberry malt she said they didn't have blueberry malts told her it was on the sign. Was not a malt but a milkshake. Wasn't even blended good it was all ice cream in the middle. And it was not crowded only myself and another gentleman
Celebrating another year around the sun with a longtime favorite - Butter Pecan sundae with their Honey Pecan ice cream. I grew up eating Honey Hut from the original Old Brooklyn and State Rd locations. The closest Honey Huts for me now are Solon and Brecksville. Of the many locations, their flavors are always spot on and consistent across the locations. This has really made my day!
Finally went to honey hut and got the blueberry crumble ice cream and a quart of coconut ice-cream. The crumble was amazing and I have to wait for the coconut! I was told it's awesome. Mmm mmm mmm
The ice cream was delicious but the customer service let them down. Asked if they had a restroom and looked at me like I was from another planet. They do not have a restroom and when asked if they had one nearby they couldn't help. Walked over to the Subway shop two doors down where there was a clean toilet.
All good service and great ice cream.
So, my boyfriend and sister in law went to this location and got a bunch of stuff. We ended up getting something wrong and live about 20 minutes away. So I doordashed from the small selection they have and left in my notes what had happened and they corrected my mistake and gave my what I bought. Great service and I’m so grateful they fixed it for me!
