Honey Berry Pancakes was a really good experience. The hostess was very helpful on Saturday 1/21 morning. Pro Tip = use the Yelp app to 'wait in line'. Otherwise they'll text you when the table is ready. We didn't wait long, maybe 15min on Saturday. Our waitress Taylia [spelling?] was super efficient and professional. We brought our 4month old and requested a booth - worked perfect for us. Overall, food arrived quick. We were in/out within 45min/1hr. We'll be back! FYI, large portions so bring your appetite.
Wonderful staff and service. So many delicious options to choose from. The chocolate banana bread french toast is amazing! My new favorite breakfast spot.Food: 5/5
First time trying this local place out and I have to say it was an extremely exciting find. It doesn’t look like much on the outside but once you step in, you’re greeted with a warm, clean, homestyle type vibe to this place with the neat bookshelf wall. Anyways I ended up ordering a Bloody Mary 2/10 I think it was just tomato juice and a shot of vodka. Best part about it was the pepper jack cheese nibble and bacon, the Carnivore and a create your own omelette. The lack of taste in the bloody was sure made up by the taste of the food though. All the meat in the carnivore was perfect with amazing flavor, each bite containing something new and yummy. The cheddar cheese on top gave it that savory goodness I was looking for. I’d definitely recommend getting those hash browns extra crispy because all of the meat and eggs go on top! For the omelette we were extremely happy to see just how clean and inviting the dish looked. The food didn’t look over oiled, seasoned or soggy. Eggs were done to perfection and they were able to stuff in all of the ingredients that we threw into the meal! Not sure if it was just everything we added, but it was a pretty good portion size of food. We’re definitely going to try and hit this place more frequently now. Highly recommend checking it out I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. One more thing.. if you read this, please update your bathrooms they were not very inviting. Had to knock off some points because of it, sorry!
Lets start off with ...the food was ok nothing crazy great ...I had the breakfast burrito with bacon, size was good but flavor was missing , definitely needed something...even the pancakes , tasted bland Some menu options never listed everything that comes with or on them aka..raisins etc ..can throw people off when ordering...but as you can imagine great service can help medikour food ..in this case service was horrible and made the medikour food even worse... as you can see the 3% surcharge added to your bill in smaller print..though it says it can be removed it's there yet I only saw one extra expense was the hand sanitizer dispenser by the front door absolutely nothing else was seen no partitions etc ...I will pay anything for great food and service Was not a big fan of M.A burgers before they closed now I know why I'm not a big fan of this place sorry , the business model of These restaurants needs to change for better success...Hope everyone else has a better experience then we did. Good luck
It's a nice restaurant to go with your family, just kind of expensive. Every item is 10$+, the food is good is almost worth it. However, the servers are very stressed and it shows and the atmosphere is usually very busy and noisy. Vegetarian options: Not a lot.
The food was delicious. Zachary was awesome! His humor and personality rocks! Thanks for making my birthday breakfast even better
A little expensive but absolutely delicious. I honestly couldn't decide on a dish for so long, they had so many unique twists to common breakfasts. I got a coconut cream crepe and it was PHENOMENAL. The cornbread hash omelet was also amazing, my dad got it. Their drinks were also very good. It wasn't busy when I was there, but it was late in the afternoon, around 1pm. I do wish they were open later. I would go back in a heartbeat
First time there prevented a a 5 star rating but Nothing else. Interesting menu with some standard favorites and some curious alternatives. I had a fig and bacon omelet with fruit cup and pancakes. Quite tasty and a too generous portion the pancakes were full size not the usual silver dollar size. Lexi was my server very pleasant and attentive but not smothering. The manager or owner, not sure which, made rounds checking clients were satisfied. Definitely a place worth trying but not the easiest to find. Located on the West side of Randall in the out lot of the Kohls mini mall and very easy to miss heading in either direction with the tendency to drive pass and then turn to come back.
This wasn't our first time dining at this place. The customer service is phenomenal. Upon arriving under the table had a few napkins and etc. The food came out just a bit salty however, I let the waitress know and she quickly took care of that for us. The food was still salty. I had the south of the border skillet, banana coconut pancakes and hot latte . We might give them another try. Or I'll just cook my own breakfast instead. UPDATE: Recently returned. Molly was awesome!! Kuddos to her for excellent customer service. The food was worser than before . They forgot my extras that I requested on the side, food was bland, no seasoning what so ever, and last but not least, Burnt hash browns inside my skillet, I couldn't enjoy breakfast. How many times do I need to give a company a chance to get it right?? The presentation of the plates looks great. It gives you the sense that the food will be delicious. However the taste and quality of the food is horrible! Again I'm not sure if I will return, I try to give companies a chance to make it right..I would like to try something else but, I like what I like. This isn't a hard dish to make. I know of another restaurant who makes this exact same dish and for the most part ... they get it right. ..just get it right please. I would like to support my local businesses.
We were finally able to try Honey Berry and it was amazing! Another great breakfast place to add to the South Elgin area. The inside is super spacious and the first thing I noticed when we walked in not pictured is the wall of books and amazing bright space that was previously always so dark. The service was EXCELLENT. We were helped right away and never felt like we were waiting for someone to help us throughout our dining experience. Our food was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and came out fast and hot. The portions are huge and very flavorful. Something as simple as biscuits and gravy was absolutely amazing. The hash browns were just right and the pancakes were spot on. Try our Honey Berry, you won’t be disappointed!
