Hope Lutheran Church is a Confessional, liturgical, and Biblical Lutheran Church in West Jordan, UT. Hope is a member congregation of the ELS
Hope Lutheran Church is an Evangelical, Sacramental, Liturgical, Traditional Lutheran Christian Church.
By Evangelical, we mean that we have good news for you: that sins are all forgiven in Jesus Christ, who fulfilled every righteous requirement of God’s Law in our place, and suffered the full penalty for all our transgressions when He died on the cross.
By Sacramental, we mean that the benefit of all that Jesus did and suffered for us comes to us through certain gifts that He gives, through which the Holy Spirit creates and sustains faith in our hearts: The Holy Word, Holy Baptism, Holy Absolution, and Holy Communion.
By Liturgical, we mean that we take the administration of Christ’s gifts seriously and treat them reverently, and that these gifts are given to us as the focus of our worship.
By Traditional Lutheran, we mean that God has given us His truth in the Holy Bible for us to know it, firmly believe it, and confess it before the world, and that we find those truths clearly and faithfully expressed in the Confessions of the historic Lutheran faith.
By Christian, we mean that our faith is in Christ, through Christ, and about Christ:
Paul Webber is the pastor of Hope Lutheran Church. He lives in West Jordan with his wife, Marta, and their children; John, Helen, and James.
Services are every Sunday at 10:30. The Lord's Supper is celebrated every week. Before Church, at 9:30, there is Bible class and Sunday School.
United in Christ, with compassion for one another, Hope Lutheran Church proclaims Christ crucified for sinners.
