Pretty much everything a home  owner could ask for from a local hardware store, and pretty high quality carpentry items to boot. The woman is especially helpful.

Great local store... They carry all of the essentials and are always willing to talk you through your intended projects.  Heading down there right now actually to pick up some ear plugs so I can run my leaf blower without going deaf.

I shop lumber yards and home improvement stores almost everyday.  The folks at Hopkinton Lumber not only seem to have EVERYTHING in stock at competitive prices, but they are always there to assist.  I normally do not write reviews but after reading this other persons slander I felt someone had to set the record straight.

I just had a horrible experience with Hopkinton Lumber.  I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life.  I bought a gallon of blue Benjamin Moore paint there, but ran out before the job was done.  On the second can of paint, I brought it home to find that the paint was white.  So I went back to get a replacement.  With barely an apology, I was given a new can of blue paint.  I painted the last wall- only to find when it had dried that it was significantly different.  Again, I returned to the store where I was given a new can of paint, but was treated rudely and told that the fact that they had made so many mistakes, I had been inconvenienced so many times, and had in fact painted a wall the wrong color was what I deserved.  The manager was rude, dismissive, and told me the owner could not be contacted, wouldn't even give me a name.  I was completely blown away that someone would be in charge with so little class and pride.  You really can't go here if you expect your paint to come out the right color, or to be treated with common courtesy.
