The food here is ok. I wouldn't mind giving it another chance. The general chicken is flavorful. However, some might think it's too sweet, but I kinda like that, so it was fine with me. The fried rice was not the best I've ever had. It could use a little more seasonings. I was surprised it tasted better than it looked.Food: 3/5
Came here wanting to try the restraunts by my hotel, was pleasantly surprised by this place due to its good pricing and such flavorful food, definitely come here if you can! I had the dumpling and beef lo meinFood: 5/5
Slowly, gradually, with great mental resistance but still inexorably, it dawned on me that I had paid $50 for Chinese beef with broccoli with almost no flavor. It was extremely dry, too. My coworkers ordered 6 different lunches on doordash. the stupid female receptionist took the wrong order and made 6 chinese beef with broccolis. Some of us cannot consume beef! I drove to the restaurant and asked for a refund, but she refused to admit the mistake and cussed me out. I've been coming here for 5 years, this time is definitely a nail in the coffin. IF YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR THE WORST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN HOUSTON, LOOK NO FURTHER, IT'S HOU WEI.
This was a unique cooking experience if you want to cook your own food at dinner. I understand the draw for a fun event cooking with friends. The difficulty is knowing when you meat is done. The pork tenderloin sliced was tender while the rib meat bulgogi was rubbery. Its a 5 star for experience but 4star because i hadto cook my own $29 dinner. Needed scissors to cut the rib meat!
Great place to go eat when your wanting an intimate atmosphere. I took my grandma here and we loved the food . We ordered the shrimp Lo Mein and we ordered orange chicken with shrimp fried rice and 2 wonton soups . Clearly we had too much food, but it was even better for seconds later in the evening. We loved the service especially bc they were bilingual . My only complaint is how big the menus are and how small the tables are .
I’ve visited this place numerous times for takeout & one time for dine-in. Waitresses are very efficient & friendly. The food is always good & fresh with lots of flavor! I’ve always gotten the Beef Broccoli which is my favorite, this time I tried the Pepper Steak I don’t like bell peppers but it was still good. We also had the egg rolls which are HUGE & also delicious! I’ve also had the Mongolian Chicken which is excellent as well. I would definitely go back to this place & try more menu items!
The food was great. The orange chicken is a must try if you like orange chicken. The chicken was not dry and the orange sauce was very flavorful. The Singapore noodles was awesome to spicy but good. The place felt relaxing and the service was awesome. I will be be going back aging to try more.Food: 5/5
Friendly service but the food lacked flavor and the dinner portions were light. We had bbq pork, beef with broccoli, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken and house fried rice for a little over $50. I wouldn’t consider it overly priced if they had proper portions and maybe vent the sweet and sour chicken so it doesn’t get soggy/mushy.Food: 1/5
I loved this place, but after the ownership change, the service has definitely changed. This place is slower to serve and is definitely not the same dining experience. I guess this might be goodbye for us. We ended up walking out as after 10 minutes our drinks that had been ordered never made it to the table. It's such a shame.Food: 4/5
I almost rated it low because I noticed the To-go bag was smaller than usual. I think they changed the plates to look more pretty. I paid $12.98 for orange chicken with white rice. The food is still good and they were quick. If you go before 3pm, the price will be cheaper. Around $8Food: 5/5
