I was stranded in Houston during hurricane Harvey, I was forced to seek medical attention because i was out of medication. I walked in mid- chest length deep water to get to an ambulance. I thought the safest place to be would be a hospital, because I would die without this medication. I left my family in the hotel & I took an ambulance for the 1st time in my life. I was horrified at the way i was treated at this hospital! I was left for hours in wet clothes, eventually a doctor came in for 2 minutes he briefly talked to me & never returned. I needed a few days supply of prescription medication, I take 2 pills 2x a day. However the hospital said they could only give me 1 pill & that i had to leave the hospital right away. There was not 1 decent person on 8/27/17 that helped me. I was terrified, there was nothing moving on the streets. Every form of transportation was halted! I cried & begged for a few days supply of this medication that would get me by until the hurricane passed & until the pharmacies could re open, the hospital staff refused & said that they don't dispense medication & gave me a prescription. Which is a joke because there was no place to fill it & nowhere that I could go. They also said that I had to leave the hospital, even though I was sitting on a chair in the waiting room. (It was not crowded & there was plenty of empty chairs) It was also 11pm on 8/27/17, it was raining very hard & I had arrived in an ambulance, I didn't know anyone, I am from out of state & I had no place to go. They never examined me, they never took blood work, yet they managed to charge my Blue Cross / Blue Shield insurance thousands of dollars & throw me out on the street during a hurricane with out the medication that I desperately needed. Now I'm being billed for an emergency room visit that was useless & is not covered by my insurance. I put my life in danger to get to the ambulance under the mistaken assumption that the hospital would keep me safe. I left my children and thought i would at least receive the necessary care that I desperately needed. I was outraged at the low quality of assistance, human compassion & aid that I received. If I could rate the hospital a 0, I would!

They were there for me when I had a stroke while driving. My fiance got me to the emergency room where they worked hard and quickly to stop the swelling and bleeding from my brain. Once I felt better, the staff worked with me in therapy until I improved even more. They turned a traumatic experienced into a wonderful and great experience.

Please don't have your baby here ESPECIALLY a c section. They do not manage pain and just tell me i will be ok. I am on day 3 and cannot move. The gauze for my incision is stuck for the second day now. Its hard to see a Dr or get someone to help me. I have never felt such pain.

My mother who is in her mid 70's went in for back surgery. I was notified once she was in her room and went up to meet her. Through out the day she complained about back pain, but this was thought to be caused by the surgery. Later that afternoon the physical therapist came by to get her up and moving. When she got out of bed we discovered that the bed had no air in it and that she had been lying on the frame of the bed. The physical therapist notified the nurse about the issue with the bed. Several hours later when nothing had been done my wife notified the nurse again. Several more hours passed and I notified the nurse. Each time we were assured that the issue would be addressed. Unfortunately for my mother I took them at their word. The next morning I found out that the bed had never been fixed or replaced and that she had been forced to sleep in this bed all night. After several phone calls to the hospital I got in touch with someone who would not take my word for it, but said they would look into the issue and call me back. They did call me back to inform me that the bed was in fact defective and they were working on finding another bed. I was also informed that the reason the bed was not fixed or replaced was because the nurse had gotten side tracked. The entire time she was there the nursing staff seem overwhelmed, combative. They would not listen to the patient or the family. At one point when she needed assistance we had to wait until the nurse got back from lunch to get any assistance. I have put in writing, so that it is clear to my family that under no circumstances I am to ever been taken to this hospital.
