Perfect park! We had a blast. The play structure is fun. There are two sizes for smaller and bigger kids. The zip line is fun! The climbing rocks are great and you can't beat the view! Lots of space to run around, picnic, take a long walk near the water, etc.

I love this park. Beautiful big trees, well-kept lawns, good access to the river, plenty of trash bins (and no litter lying around), and the Columbia River trail extends for miles in both directions. The kids' play area is well laid out and maintained, and there are plenty of well-positioned benches. One improvement I'd love to see is a large area fenced off for an off-leash dog park. Ideally this would also provide a stretch of beach and river access, which means the walking/cycling path would have to go around the perimeter of the dog park for people who don't want to cut through it. Dogs are supposed to be on leash in the park, which means we're not supposed to play fetch or practice distance training - a pity in an area that is clearly made for happy dogs...:)

It's very pretty and has nice walking trails and bike trails. Perfect for family days in my opinion. It's safe and I can enjoy time with my twins while they play.

Howard Amon Park is a great place to go and take a walk around the park. This place is common for people playing Pokemon go, and I've heard there are a ton of great Pokemon here. So if you have the app you should go check this place out

A local Landmark, Howsrd Amon Park is a great place to go for recreation & relaxation. There is a paved walking path the length of the park. This runs along the Columbia River with great views & beautiful shade trees lining the path (very good in the summer!) There is a boat launch at the North end, a set of public docks further south and a separate children's play area called Sturgeon Cove. It's got all kinds of playground equipment and during the summer a wading pool. There are modern public restrooms at both ends of the park. The Allied Arts Gallery is located about Midway down the park. There are annual festivals held throughout the spring, summer & fall including concerts, arts & craft shows, etc. If you go to the events go early--although there's lots of parking, it fills up fast! There are shops & restaurants located along George Washington Way (Street along the west side of the park). Lots to do or a nice spot to take a break & eat your lunch.
