This use to be the best Chinese food around. Many including myself were willing to pay for the difference of quality as the prices are higher than the average Chinese restaurant. The prices have stayed the same since the retirement of its owners (Alice and Phil), but the quality has gone down.
Phil made the best Kong Pao chicken I ever had. I went nearly every week and Alice knew I wanted the same thing every time. Now, the Kong Pao has neither peanuts or green onions which is half the recipe. It now has green pepper, baby corns, water chestnuts, and carrots. That's not Kung Pao chicken! It may have been a fluke so I will try once more, but will not return if it's the same generic Americanized Chinese stuff I can get anywhere else for cheaper.

Alice's is a Steubenville institution that will be sadly missed.  She remembers everyone's 'usual',  and it is the ONLY authentic Asian for miles.   Will be missed!
