The Hudson Islamic Center (HIC) is a nonprofit organization established in 1997 with the sole purpose to serve both the Muslim and nonMuslim community.

Mission

HIC aims to educate, inform and build opportunities for everyone in the community. Currently our community center is located in the basement of a two family apartment house. We hold our prayers, community activities, and Qur’an classes in this space. Over the years our community has expanded and the small space does not accommodate everyone’s needs. To meet the needs of our community we have planned to build a community center that will include:
- Separate prayer rooms for brothers and sisters
- Islamic library
- Class rooms for our youth and children
We strongly urge our community members from all faiths to contribute to the making of our community center. The Hudson Islamic Center is going to be the first Islamic center in Columbia County serving Muslims from all over the county.
